Dear Mr. King: -"
It was discussed at the July 18th hearing on the captioned application that in lieu of placing a stone return at the
most southerly end of the +72' section of bulkhead to be removed and replaced, the most southerly end of that
section of bulkhead be permanently removed and an angled return constructed at its new southerly terminus. At
the hearing, I believe we approximated that roughly 12 feet of bulkhead would be removed, but based on the
location of high water depicted on the plans, it appears that the most southerly ±14 linear feet of bulkhead
should be removed and an angled +14' return be constructed at the southerly terminus of what will become a
±58' section of bulkhead, all as depicted on the project plan prepared by Inter-Science Research Associates,
Inc., last dated July 27, 2012,three(3)copies of which are enclosed herewith.
I trust that you will find this plan acceptable but if you have any questions or require any additional information,
please let me know.

SCTM# 1000-81-1-16.10 & 16.11
En-Consultants on behalf of PARADISE POINT ASSOCIATION, INC. requests a Wetland
Permit to resheathe landward side of approx. 197 If. of existing timber bulkhead (forming filled
jetty) with vinyl sheathing and backfill inside of jetty with approx. 150 cy. sand and gravel;
construct approx. 72 If. of vinyl bulkhead in place of existing timber bulkhead and backfill with

The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter 268, Waterfront Consistency Review of the
Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy
Standards. Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment
Form submitted to this department, as well as the records available to me, it is my
recommendation that the proposed action is CONSISTENT with the Policy Standards and
therefore is CONSISTENT with the LWRP provided the following best management practice is
required pursuant to:
§ 275-11. Construction and operation standards.
A. General. The following standards are required for all operations within the jurisdiction of
the Trustees:
(2) Erosion control. Installation of an erosion control structure is necessary during any
building, grading, landscaping or site work activity within Trustee jurisdiction. This structure
may include, but is not limited to, installation of a silt fence, hay bales, wood chip berm and silt
booms. The placement of the erosion control structure(s) shall be determined by the Trustees
or their designee. All intertidal construction and excavation requires the installation of a
silt boom that will retain all suspended sediments within the immediate project area.
Pursuant to Chapter 268, the Board of Trustees shall consider this recommendation in
preparing its written determination regarding the consistency of the proposed action.
