Judge Tedeschi (Manor Grove Corp.) told the Committee that LIPA
wants 15,000 sq. ft. of this property, which is next to the power
plant. Drossos wants to buy some of the business part. Judge
Tedeschi wants to retain the house on the property (2 acres). It
has not been appraised. After he left, the Committee discussed this
property. Dick said that more than two years ago the Nature Con-
servancy made an offer of $215,000 for this. Approximately 22 acres
are wetlands. We will get an appraisal on this.
Syma Gerard, a real estate broker, who represents Sutermeister/Neuer'
spoke to the Committee. This property has,a right-of-way. They
bought this property 15 to 20 years ago. She has been working with
them for a while. They are willing to accept $425,000 for the entire
parcel. Dick asked Syma to provide the Committee with a copy of the
title policy. $yma is the exclusive agent for the sale of this property.
After Ms. Gerard left, the Committee further discussed this property
and are interested in preserving it. This would be a fee title, open
space purchase. The Committee felt an appraisal should be done.
Ron Goerler, Sr. gave Dick 3 copies of the survey, which the Committee
reviewed. The map :looked okay. Dick will pass this information or~ to
the Town Attorney. An environmental audit will be done, when the
contract is signed. After the Goerlers left, Melissa said that they want
-2-
to close shortly, even though the contract hasn't been signed. Brian
will speak to Greg Yakaboski.
