There was a- special meeting of the' Southold ToWn Planning

office~ Main' Road~: Southold~:~ New York at 7.30 P.M; July 22~ 1968,
The meeting was opened at- 7:35 P~-~j by Vice' Chairman
Henry Moisa.

by'Will~ Unkelbach: and 'seconded' by" Frank' Coyle apPrOved as
mailed out.
Notice from. Riverhead Town'Clerk~ stating that the Town 'had
adOpted a "Discl~sUre'~Amendment" to their' Zoning ~r~inance was'
read ~and ordered filed.
A call was received during the- day that the applicants Eot
.subdivision~ "Harvest Homes" want an approval to .se~l lot ~ 19~

Matter of revising Pond for' "Town Harbor Terrace" was brought
up~ the secretary was advised to contact Larry~ Tuthill' to have
this done by the first of the week for the next Town Board meetinge

It was agreed tohave a "continuing program of capital improve-
ments" p~eparedby'the Planning'Board and submitted to the Town Board.
This programwill be revised annually'and'"updated" and submittedto
the Town Board io~ funding in the budget each-falle

involved inschool problems-other'than-requesting school Boards to
notify them of planned expansion of buildings and p~oposed land
purchase.
Pages 63 & 64. There was a long discussion on the "Town Engineer."
Wenow hire two consultants and an inspection engineerl The
timemay'be~herew~en we' should have a full time Town'Engineer to do
all of these various jobs. At~ least fees large enough to cover.all
expenses should be charged- we are going "in the hole" badly with
our present .fee schedule and setup~

A motion by'William Unkelbach was seconded by Henry Moisa
and un~nimously carried ,that the Planning Board send a letter to
Mrs- Lee Koppelmanandthe'County Planning C~mnission requesting-them
to join us in a policy'of restricting Business zoning of anytype, on
Route 27°
There have been ~/ly requests and inquiries'for bus/ness on this
road lately.
Itwas ~Hggestedthat some'of the present unused,B" zone west
of Kenneyes Road onReute ~27 be rezoned to "A" as the new r~ad.has
cut off~q~ite a lot of it and on,the opposite side of'Route 27 it
will be a traffichazard if cars cut across the.new intersection.
