"This place is so much fun~' Delvecchio said. "Fhis vineyard is the best, and the peach wine is really good, it tastes so yummy.' Vineyard 4~ manager Dale Suter couldn't have been happi- er about vialto~s' reactions to the e~ent that takes place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Saiurday. ~Most of the other vineyards "About 100 people would come through on a Saturday, and now we are up to 1,000 people coming through here on a Saturday," said Suter. "We are known as the fun vineyard." DJ Beware, also known as willi~n Ware, kept the wine enthusiasts grooving as he played dance, hip hop, R&B and old school pop music. Franklin Square resident Kyle Smith decided that Vine- yard 48 would be a good place for a date so he brought his girlfriend, Rachete Testa of Connecticut. i had acoustic bands, and we "We love it here," Smith said. i wantedtoputadifferentspinon iI "The music is great and the cabernet that I tasted was very goo&" - UR~ULR b~ORE It is a yiQeyard or a nishtclub? Where does the Boardy Barn meet the lersey Shore? At V'meyard 48 in Cutchogue. You have got to love those "Sun- daze" parties. Unless you happen to be one of their neighbors2 Forget about the decibel levels that rock your windows all day;, the musical content is not appropriate, especially for the young children that happen to live across the slxeet from this vineyard. It's not that I don't like the vine- yards. There's nothing like going for a tasting with friends and listening to the soft jazz or the oldies. I have been living in this neighbor- hood for 25 years and I have never heard lyrical content such as this "club music" coming from other neighboring vineyards. I'm sure whenV'meyard 48 applied for their business license it didn't in- dude running a weekend nightclub. Although it was wonderful that they moved their parking off of Route 48, so now we can~imo, and out of our development without g~-~iln~ ~RI~tdl limos and giant party buses. It amazes me that these new so- called farmers don't seem to care about the impact on their neighbors, but only the impact on their wallets. I feel something more needs to be done to regulate the fine standards of our local vineyards so the North Fork of Long Island doesn't transform into another "Jersey Shore." I~ni~ Lad~mann
