Samuel Glickman, Bsqe~ appeared before the Plannin9 Board in
r~cxenee to subdivision of property located off Bayview Avenue,
Arshamomque, o~ed by Shay-Tel Ltd. Mr. Gli4~ sho~d a revised
plan sho~ng the size of the c~naI on the property reduced to ~0
feet. The Board discuss the layou~ of the property. It was agreed
the applicant should file for a mi~or subdivision.
On mo~i~n by lvM. Coyle~ seconded by Mr, Grebe~ it was
RESOLVED that the property under discussion at Bayview Avenue~
Arshamomque~ should be filed for as a m~nor subdivision, propez~y
ow~edby Shay- Tel Ltd.

Mr. Hu~h Quinn appeared before the plaD_nin~ Board with a revised
plan of his proper ty located at New Suffolk. This was the former Lowe
property, Said plan ~ras rev~s ed September 19, 1968, There are four
lots in ~his subdivision~ area is 2.47 acres.
On motion by Mr. Coyle~ seconded by Mr. Grebe, it was
RESOLVED that Hugh Quinn file for a minor subdivision on his
p~perty located at JacJcson Street, N. ew sSUffolk~ New York.
Vote of the Board: Ayes:- Mr. Moisa~ Mr, Unkelbaoh~ Mr. Grebe#
Mr. Coyle.
Mr. Wil/~am Smith appeared before the Planning Board in regard to
the Subdivision Shorecrest,located at Southold. The Board ~vised Mr.
Smith that he would have to get approval of the layou~ of the Highways
from the Superintendent of Highways. No further action was taken on
this subdivision.
The developers of the property to be known as Jackson's Landing
appeared before the Plazunin9 Board in regard to proposed roads in
the subdivision. The developers request that the roads inthe
subdivision be kept private. They were advised ~hey could keep the
r cads private if the ~sh~ however~ they would still have to meet
all the Highway Specifications of the Town of Southold~ plus they
would have to have a road terminating at the waterfront. This
property on the~aterfront shall be labeled on the map as '~eserved
for beach ~_r~pos$ible b~igh~ay dedication".
Mr, George Ahlers appeared before ~he PI~_m~nin9 Board in re~ard

Mr. John Wickham reported that he has ~ obtained permission
from the Southold Town Board of Trustees for the dredging p~oject that
came before the Pl~ning Board last month. He further reported that
he will obtain assistance, for paying for the project.
The property of Jimmy Dean, Cutchog~was discussed. It was discussed
as to the layout of the Property, It was reported that tb~ Health Dep~ment
will approve two lots with less than 20,000 square feet. Also the highway
1 ayout must ~e approved by the Superintendent of Highways, No action
was taken au this subdivision,
A layout for a minor subdivision for Jenny Lester, private Road
off Westphalia Road, Mattituok, new York, was discussed. Suggested
c~nges in the layout of the property were made. The attorney for
the application will be advised of the suggested changes,
The next reg~iarmeeting of the Sonthold Town Planning Board will
be November 6, 1968, at the Tova~ Office, Main Road~ Southold~ New York.
The ~--aring for the amendments to the SubdiVision Rules and Regulations
will be held on this date at 7:30 PM.
The Chairman reported that he had met with the T~vn Board, at his
request, to straighten out the problem of highways in old_ subdivisions
meeting the present highway specifications. In general, the specifications
that were in force at the time the subdivision was approved will be
binding on that subdivision. They haven't talked about cases were
the subdivision has been started but no actual work was done on it.
C~ motion by Mr. Grebe, seconded by ~.~, B{oisa~ it was
RESOLVED that the Southold T°wn Planning Board send their
engineer,.Charles Abrahams~ inspect the Roads in Eastern Shores,
and determine whether or not they meet the highway specifications that
were in effect at the time the s~bdivision was approved. If ~he not
they must obtain a performance bond or fix the roads to meet the
specifications.

vote of the Board: Ayes:- ALL
the Plamnim9 Board. She intends to set elf property amd bmild a
house on a parcel. This property fronts on Oceamside Avenue
and is being sold to. Robert Reid.
