Board and ()ffice Policies, Practices, and Activities:
ZBA Annual Training
At the Regular Meeting on July 5,2012, ATA Andaloro provided the Board Members with a
seminar on the history and purpose of the LWRP and an overview of LWRP policies relevant to
ZBA decisions, in partial fulfillment of the required 4 hours of amlual continuing education.
Conditions added to Special Exception Permits for B&B's and Accessory Apartments
in Accessory Structures
At the ZBA Special meeting on July 19, 2012, the Board approved Fire Marshal Bob Fisher's
request to add a condition to Special Exception Permits for B&B's and accessory apartments in
accessory structures. For B&B's the condition will read: "This Special Exception Permit requires
an operating permit and inspection by a Code Enforcement Officer from the Building Department
that must be renewed annually." For accessory apartments in accessory structures the
condition will read: "This Special Exception Permit requires an annual inspection by a Code
Enforcement Officer from the Building Department." To better inform applicants/property
owners of the Town Code, both permits will henceforth note that the Special Exception permit
cannot be transferred to new owners.
Financial/Budget/Personnel Issues:
The Department's proposed 2013 budget was submitted to the Town Clerk as required.
