MINUTES
Present were: Dick Ryan, Ray Huntington, Fred Lee, Reed Jarvis,
Joe Krukowski, Melissa Spiro and Marian Sumner.
The Committee discussed the McGunnigle property. This would have
to get into some kind of agricultural production for the Town to pur-
chase the development rights. It is a mixture of woodland and fallow
land. This should be appraised both ways - farmland and open space.
Suffolk County Greenways Program - Marian, Greg and Melissa went to
a meeting with the County. It was somewhat discussed that management
should be written into the contract with the Town being the manager.
Greg went to another meeting with the attorneys and the outcome was
that this was no longer the case. This issue is yet to be resolved. We
should engage in these partnerships and in all instances we should
manage these properties. Melissa and Marian will try to find out from
Greg or Jim Burke what their position is.
Goerler - they are not interested in the partnership. They do not want
anything to do with the County.
2% Tax Exemption - a roundtable meeting is scheduled for Wednesday,
August 16, 2000 here at Town Hall to discuss this. Melissa will call those
that were asked to come, who we haven't heard from.

could be gifted to the Town. Dick sent a letter to the ot~ner~. Also,
