The Planning BOard' discussed the proposed change of zone~ On motion by Fir, Coyle~ seconded by .Mr~ Moisae it was Southold Town-Planing Board June 23~, .1969 RES~VED that the ~Southold T~Wn Planning Board recommend to the Southold Town Board to held the Hetition until a "Light · ndustry C-I" District is created as recommended aha then put this parcel in the more restriCted '"C-1" District rather than making it a non-conforming use in the "A" District.- The .Board has had considerable discussion with the owner 'of this property and after much deliberation submits this recommendation. Action was wi~_held pending receip~ of the application 'fee, The Planning Board witheld any action on the proposed subdivision of the Southold Development ~Corp& Otto Van Tuyl to revise perliminary map, The 'Planning Board discussed the subdivision "L~urel Country ~'Estates".~ Laurel-~. New York~ owned by'Leo~ard C. Emma & others. A letter was received from the Superintendent of Highways recommending a 60 ft. road abutting and running parallel.with the L-~I,'RiR. tracks. This road -should run from Laurel Lane east to 'connect with other subdivisions to be .approved in the area~ The ground water 'runs in the same direction as the road and this may 'create a health problem, Mro Wickham is to inquire of the County 'Health' Dept~ abDut the possible installation of a public water .r county sewer system~, or i acre zoning. 'In regard to subdivision "Sunset Kno11s"*~-SeCtion II~ a letter was received from 'the Highway "Superintendent recommending that Stanley Road be ~continued through lot 53~ After ~he maps are revised a hearing will be set up, On motion by Mr~ Moisa.~ seconded by Mr. Raynor%. At was RESOLVED that the minutes of the Southold Town Planning 'Southold Town' Plan~g Board -7- ~ June 235 1969 Board dated June 9~. 1969, be approved as sent out~ ~Vote of the B~ardk Ayes:- All The. Planning Board again brought ~-up the matter of the proposed zoning ordinance of the T~wn of-Riverhead, The following letter of recommendation 'was sent to ~he TOWn Board on June i2~ 1969: Southold Town Board 16 South 'Street Greenporti New York G~ntlemen; ~ne Planning Board is quite concerned ab.out the elimination of the 500 ftj buffer strip in the Town of Riverhead adjacent to thc S~uthold Town line.
