--THE CHAIRMAN: We ha-~e had quite a bit of cozTespondence
on t14is subdivision. Inspecting the folder I find a letter
from the Superintendent of HighwayS-~ approving the lay-out of
~e roads, dated January 't5~i 1969. Als°~ a certification of -
appr6val from the 'SuffoLk County Department of Health. Every
thing seems to be in order. 'I will now open the hearing for
anyone who-wishes to speak in opposition to this subdivision,
was no response..)

RESOLVED that the Southold Town Planning Board recommend
favorably to the Southold Town Board the change of zone fr~m
!'A" Residential and Agricultural District to "B" Business

This property has been used for business for many years
as a non-conforming use.

before the Board with a survey of prope~.ty showing lots
& 13 of Capt, 'Kidd .Estates, Mattituck,~ Nj¥~ He asked the Board
for suggestions for-the division of these lotsl The. Chairman
informed him that each lot must contain at least 20w. 000 sq, feet
of area and suggested that he divide lots 12 & 13% leaving lot
10 as is~ He ~was given subdivision applications.~, advised to
have preliminary maps made up,~ ~und file for 'a minor subdivision.
Mr~ Dan "Smith presented the Board with a revised map of
property owned by Sou~hold Development 'Corporation' This
proposed subdivision shall hereafter be' known 'as Goose ~Creek
Estates. ~ne map sh~wed four lots,~ each over 20~000 square
feet of area~, a 50 ft~ right of way~. and a 100 ft~ turn-around~
However the balance of the property ~was left unmarked, The
easterly section should be labeled as reserved for-possible
future dedication to the Town~ .In regard to the westerly
unmarked_ section~ Mr& Smith will either deed it to the ad-
jacent property owners or dedicate it to the ToWn. The
Board advised him to have the map completed by' the surveyor'
and presented ~at the next 'Planning Board meeting,
The Board was presented with a preliminary ~map of the
proposed division of' land of Lillian Redden.,..southerly si~e
.of Indian Neck'Lane~i .Peconic, This map will n~t be acceptable
to the Plann~ing Board as each lot contains less than 2~)..800
square feet o~ area~ A lette~ to he sent to Mrs~ Re~de~
advising her as such,

~he proposed division 'of ~land 'of Audrey Abitz~. Mattituck.
~Apptications for minor subdivision and fee o-f $20, were
received~ The Board inspected the map 'amd discussed the
application. Appr~oval was granted. -Map to be signed and
sent out together with receipt for ~application fee~'

Di~k Cron, Esql presented the Planning Board with a
preliminary plan of map of property owned by E~W~
Wilsberg. Property located at Orient Point,. New ~Y0rk~
containing an area of ~8 acres~ plus or minUS~ divided
into 6i5 lots, -Ail 'lots contain an ~area of 20~000
feet or over. ~ne owner was informed that this subdivision
must meet ail current Highway .Specifications. The Board
inspected the.map and advised thah ~it be ~shaped~ up and
submitted to the ~Superintendent of Highways for h~s
approval. Applications for a subdivision were .gi~en toMr~
Cron to be completed and returned~
'Dick Lark~'Esq. presented the Plan~in~ Board wi~h a

by the~superintendent of Highways, Mrs' -Lark 'requested

Dick Lark~ Esq. brought up f~r discussion the proposed
subdivisi~n~, Bennetts Pond owned by Harold Ro .reeve
MattituCk~ New York. ~! Lark advised the Board that Mr,
Deana ~Superinte~dent of Highways~ had inspected ~he sketch
and gave his approval wit/~ the recommendation that the pro--
posed road run up to the adjoining property.'
to send a letter to the Board advising them-as ,such, The
C~airman advised Mr& Lark to have preliminary maps made up
and submitted to the Board.
Mr~ Edward Boot/~ representing the~Edna C. ~Salmon Estate~
appeared before the Board with a preliminary sketch for division
of land located-at'Southold. The Board informed Mr~ Booth that
he must have a 50 ft~ right of way and a 100 ft~ turnaround.
He was given appliCations for a minor subd~ivis,ion and advised
to have preliminary maps made up.
The Board briefly reviewed the subdivision ~Laurel
C~un'try~Es:t~t~s. ",,The~-Chairman read the affidavit received
f~om Sta~ley,Sledjeski 'disclosing his interest in this
subdivision. No further action was taken at ~/~is time~
Mr, WiC2them reported that .he attended ~he hearing held
by the Suffolk County ~Planning Commission on July 30~, 1969i~
at the Coun~ty~Center, Ri~erhead~, Njt~' The meeting was held
to make a determi~ati0n on the proposed indus~trial zoning
of the ~'Town'of Rlverhead. The industrial zoning was dis-
approved by ~he Commission.
