Grebee Gary Olsen~ Esqe~. presented the Planning Board with a preliminary map fsr subdivision %f property ~wned by Martin Weglickit~ l~cated ~n ntrth side ~f P~onic Bay Blvd.~ Laurel, New York~ The Board inspect- ed map and folder,. It' was decided that 'the park area was inadequate~. re%re pa=k area Will have t~ be set aside. Mr~ Olsen informed us that the water has been tested and approved by the Health Dept. Road profiles f~r the .folder were submitted. On motion by Mr. C~ylet seconded by Mr~ Raynor,t it was RESOLVED that the South~ld Town ~lanning B~ard grant ~reliminary approval 'to the proposed subdivision map of Mart/n weglicki, ~ legated on 'n%rth side of Pe¢onic' Bay Blvd~ Laurelt New York~ subject to park area being enlarged% .Vote ~f the B~ard: Ayes:-- Messrs: Wickhamt~ Moisa~, C~ylet Grebe~ Rayn~r~ Dan Smith presented the Board with a revised preliminary lay- out ,f map ,f proposed subdivision of South,ld Development C®rp,~ l~cated on west side ~f N~rth Road t~ Bayview~ Southold The Board inspected map- The Chairman feels that this area may r~ e Southold Town Planing Board -4-- S~nb r 15~ 1969 have a water problem. He suggested cutting off part of the reserved area to m~ke lot % 1 larger. Mr- Smith asked the Board if he oould split the property in half and sei1 it and let the people file for minor subdivisions themselves- Cha/rman again advised him that he may not have enough water to serve these lots and that water mains may have te be installed. The Board discussed the possibilities of this subdivision with Mr. Smith. No action was taken~ Mr, Smith is to have the water teste~ Dick Cron. Esq. appeared before the Board to ask ~that preliminary approval be granted to proposed subdivision .map of E%W~~ & H~W.Wilsberg property located at Orient .Point~ N~Y%~ Chairman read 'letter received from Mr. Cron describing park area in detail. The Board inspected the map~ a question was raised in reference to an unnumbered parcel of land on the map, Mr. Cron informed the Board that this parcel was not oto be included in the subdivision. The proposed road is to tie in with Orient by the Sea subdivision, The road lay-out will have to be approved by the Superintendent of Highways. On motion by Mr. Rayn.r~ seconded by Mr, Moisa,. it was RESOLVED that the $outhold .Town Planning Board grant preliminary approval to the proposed subdivision map of property of E'~-W~- & H~W~~ Wilsberg~i property located at Orient Point~ New York~ subject to approval 'of road lay-out by the Superintendent of Highways. Vote of the 'Board: Ayes:-- Messrs: Wi~khama Moisaa 'Raynora Coyle~ Grebe. - Mr~ William Clark~ Esq. appeared before the Planning Board aad requested ~them to accept a bond ~f $5~i000, for the completion of roads and other improvements in the sUbdiVision to be known as "NorthwoodS"~. owned and de~eloped by the ~orthville C~nstruction co., located on the east Side- of Cox Lane~ Cutchogue~ New Y~rk. He informed us that only the rough grading and surfa=ing ~emains to be finished~ The C~airman t.ld him that we must ,have' a signed contract for the remaining work to bm done~ He informed Mr, clark that Mr. Dean~ Supt, .f Highways will check out the completed work~ NO actien' was 'taken on this subdivision at this time~ Rensselaer G, Terry~ Esq. presented'the Planning B~ard with a revised map for minor subdivision of property owned by George Braun, property located on East side .f Stillwater Avenue~ Cutchoguea New York. The map showed 500ft. road frmntage divided into four ~4) lots ranging in depth from 234 ft. to 168 ft. On motion by Mr. Coyle~. seconded by Mr, Grebe~ it was RESOLVED that the~ Southold Town Planning Board grant tenative approval to the two ~(~2) northerly lots in the minor subdivision of George Braun located on east side' of Stillwater Avenue~ Cutc/aoguea New York~i subject te shaping up' the' rest of the proper~y ~into two i(~) nice, lots~ each to, contain a minimum of 20~000 sq, ft, of area~ Vote of the Board: Ayes:-- Messrs: Wickha~ Moisa~ Raynor~ Coyle~ Grebe. Mr. Edgar Butt appeared before the Planning Board to request permission to sell two l~ts out @f his proposed subdivision in order -to get enough money to build the roads~ Subject property is located on the north side of NoEth Road (CR27) 'Greenport~! .~2'¥~ ~between Section I & $~of Eastern Shores Subdivision) The, Chairman, suggested dividing the property into Sections I & II on w~ich ~he Bsard would grant p~eliminary approval and he could g@. ahead and build the high~ way. MOisa~ Coyle~a Raynor~' Grebe, -' Dick' Larkwl Esq~ appeared before the' Planning Beard to. request preliminary' approval for the subdivision "Laurel~Country Estates" owned by Emma Leonard. located on the northeasterly side of Peconic Bay Blvd,, Laurel,~ New York. A letter approving' the road lay-out and map signed by 'Hr. Dean~i Supt~ of Highways was contained in folder. The map sho~ed 3 blocks with lots being larger on the east side, all .lots contain, a minimum of 20,000: sq. ft. of area. A 60 road bounds the L~I.~ Railroad, They are in the process of making test holes. On motion by Hr. Wickham, seconded by Hr. Moisa. it was RESOLVED that the SouthOld Town Planning Board grant preliminary approval to. the' subdivision "Laurel CountryEstates".~ owned by' Emma Leonard located on the northeasterly-side of Peconic Bay Blvd,~ LaureL~i New York, Vote of the Board: Ayes:- Messrs: Wickham,3 Moisa~ Raynor.~ Grebe~i Coyle. Dick Lark~ Esq, presented the Board With formal application, fee of $30.,i and final maps fOr the minor subdivision of~ Cecil YOung. located on the northeasterly side of' Peconic Bay BlVd.~ Laurelai New York. On motion by Hr. Grebe- seconded by'Hr, Coyle~.'lit. was RESOLVED that the~ SoUthold Town .Planning Board grant final approval to the min~r subdivision of CeoiI YOung l~cated on the nertheasterly side of Peconic Bay Blvdj~ Laurel. New York. The Chairman signed the. maps. Vote of the Board: Ayes:- Messrs: Wickham, Moisa~, Grebe~ Coyle~! Raynor. Southold Town Plann~ Board --7-- ~'~ember 15~ 1969 Dick' Lark~ Esqe and. Stanley' Sledj eski appeared' before the Planning Board "and requested them to recommend ~to the Town Board a bond in the .amount of $50~3000& for roads~ drainages-and other improvements in the subdiVi~ion' Sunset Knolls.~ Sec. ~ owned by Stanley Sledjeski located at Mattituck~ New' York. Larry Tuthil! was of the opinion that the plans did not include enough leach/_ng basins,a-' since there, will be a problem with the contour of the tanda he suggested doubling the ~number of leaching basins or putting a re~harge area on one' of the lots. A lengthby discussion was held concerning this matter. The Chairman advised Fn~, Lark and Mr, Sled]~ski to have Alden Young' revise the drainage plans so that they meet the requirements of a 10 year storn~ Chairman info~med Mr. Lark and Mr& Sledjeski that when they' revise the drainage and present the. Board. with executed contractsm the Planning Board will be glad to make a recommendation tO. the Town Board. In reference, to the proposed subdivision of Frank M~ndaro located at Grilling Street~ Cutchogue~ New York~ Mr. Lark informed the Board that .the road profiles ~ve been chan~ed and Mr. Dean~. Supt. of HighWays has given ~is apbroval to the 1.ay~out of the roads. 'The main road of the subdivision!(Griffing street) is over 1200 ft. long and ali the lots' contain over 20~.000 sq. of area. Southold Town Board -12 .... · September 15.a 1969 The ToWn Attorney has recommended that the Planning Board write letters to each of- the d~velopers and bonding' companies responsible 'for expired subdivisions and bonds advising them as such. After the' Planning Board sends the first notice then the Town Board will follow up.
