The Chairman advised Mr. Aurichie that- the first- step is. to present t-he~ Board of Health with the plans for water~ and sewerage. The Board briefed him on the- cost of ~install-- ation of water' and' sewerage, ~ir. Aurichio stated that his clients were aware of this. The chairman ~informed him 'that- the operation and management of~ it would be' .very costly until such time as a water' and sewerage district is formed in that area. N&-Y~~ The map showed 15 lots, all contain- ing at least 2O.~O00sq. ft, of area, The' Chairman informed ~them of the' County Board' of Health requ~ent -effective January 1~ 1970,~ requiring 40~000sq. ft. ~f area per-' lot~ unless, public water and sewerage is installed- Mr~ Edson said that-the, map was prepared in September 1969 and was lost in the shuffle on Van' Tuyl~S desk, The'Chairman advised Mr. EdSon t~, consult the Board of Health in reference to lot size and water and sewerage. Mr. Edson is to' contact, the' Board of' Health on this matter and if necessary re--submit the applicat'i.n~' Mr. Sfaelos inquired about the pessibllity of obtaining a "B"' zone' on this property. The Chairman infox~ed him that the' Master Plan does not call for "B"' zoning in that area. The Board wasreminded of the meeting of 'the Planning Board, Board of Appealsa and Town Board to be held at 7:30 P~-M~ March 10, 1970w at the superVisor~s Office~ Greenport~ to discuss the amend- ments to the'Zoning Ordinance. The'Chairmanreported on his meeting with the Town Board in reference to the following: Dr. Joseph Sullivan of Southampton College would like to make a study on Agriculture in the Town of Southold. They are interested in what is happening to agriculture oneastern Long Island. He has made a proposal to the Town to do the, Study'for $1~000. and has submitted a possible questionaire. The Chairman has sent the proposal and questionaire to' Cornell University for'any suggestions that they might have. It is hoped that a proposal and questionaire can be devised that will meet with the approval of the County.,. Cornell University~ andthe Town BOard, The Southold-Peconic CivicAssociationhas requested that anoth~r'study such as this be made. Notice received from the' New York State' Water Resources Commission inregard to instructions for' filing'L~ng ISland Well Applications was-read and placed on file.
