Box 1179 Southold, New York 11971 Fax (516) 765-1823 Telephone (516) 765-1800 MIl'lUTES Present were: Dick Ryan, P, eed Jarvis, Ray tluntington, Joe Krukowski Melissa Spiro, Brian Murphy, Marian Sumner, Ray Blum, Bob Jenkins, George Starkie, Sandra Scott & her son, Jason. Mrs. Scott told tile Committee that she would like to put the back portion of the property for development rights--appro×imately 22 acres. Dick told her that the Committee would review her proposal and Melissa ~,piro will contact her. George Starkie application - SCTM #1000-96-3-2 - Mr. Starkie said he would like to hold out approximately 2 1/2 acres, which is the house, barn and heliport. Dick asked the secretary to send both Mr. Jenkins and ~¥~r. Starkie copies of Chapter 25 and 6 of the Town Code. A motion was made by Ray Huntington and seconded by Reed Jarvis to have an appraisal done on this property. All were in favor. Robert & Joan Jenkins property - SCTM #1000-102-02-2.3. They have accepted the offer on this property and a public hearing will be scheduled. Ray Blum application - SCTM #1000-75-5-1 - The Committee discussed this application with Mr. Blum. A motion was made by Reed Jarvis and seconded by Ray Huntington to have an appraisal done. All were in favor. Manor Grove - Dick said the Committee should have an appraisal for the ne:ct meeting. Doroski parcel - a public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, September 26, 2000. -2- $chreiber - Ehlers is working on the sub division plan. John & Katherine $idor property - Reed has contacted Jim Pim of the Health Department regarding John Sidor's problems. The members suggested that perhaps if there are separate contracts, we could go forward with the Katherine $idor parcel. Simon application - SCTM #1000-86-1-10.9 - the Committee reviewed the application. A motion was made by Ray Huntington and seconded by Reed Jarvis to have an appraisal done. All were in favor. 2% Tax Exemption - Dick, Melissa, Supervisor Cochran and Brian Murphy will meet on Wednesday, September 27th to discuss this. Melissa Spiro is working on a check list with the Town Attorney. Also, she is working on changes on the land Preservation application. Ray Huntington will keep working on the basic steps in the sale of land~ sale of development rights for land preservation. He is looking for input from the other Committee members. The next meeting of the Land Preservation Committee is scheduled for Monday, October 16, 2000.
