Subject: Resolution - North Fork Environmental Council
Dear Linda and Nancy,
The North Fork Environmental Council is holding its annual Bike What's Left event
on August 18th. In past years you have been kind enough to place us on the Town's
agenda to obtain a resolution to hold the event. It looks as though the routes will be
the same as in past years. Should our Program Committee decide to alter the routes
we will let you know as soon as possibly.
We've offered an 18 mile, skilled participant route, starting at Mattituck Train Station
to Horton's light house coming back from Rt. 25 to New Suffolk. We also offered a 10
mile route for families and recreational bikers that starts at the Mattituck Train Station
and goes through New Suffolk.
No police involvement is necessary as we need no traffic control however, as
directed by the Chief in the past, we hand out Rules of the Road to all participants.
Inasmuch as the event is scheduled for the middle of next month, may we impose
upon you to place us on the agenda as soon as possible? Thank you for your
courtesy and consideration.
