Secretary contacted M~ Radford ~d was advised he wo~d be at the next meet~g of the Pi~ing Bo~d at which tLme he wo~d bring the requested sketch~ Messrs. Philip L. Prins~ his son Jo~m Rrins~ and Chester Orlowski came befo~ the Planning Board to discuss a proposed motel a~ad/or trailer c~P M~. Pk~ins wishes to erect on his property at south side $o~d Avenue~ Mattituck~ ~ Prins has se~.~ra~ ideas in mind: one is to convert a two story chicken house into a two story motel~ or convert a smaller ~ ~ ~ ~ .~nto ~ ~e~ or f~teen ~kt mo~!~ one suo,~y C,.lck~ house ~ ~ -~ w '~ ~ ' +~ ' o~ begin a trailer park to accom?aate 20 ~o 30 tr~.~!e_s~ =nd convert the sm~ier one s~ory chicken house into a garage for the automobiles of ~dividu~s who would be using the trailer park~ ~ ~ins also has ~ mind building a sw~img pool for the ~ usa of the motel and trailer park people ~ud charge admission to residents in the To~ With reference ~ the above ideas ~ Pr~s wished to ~ow how the Pl~ing Board felt about them~ He was advised th~ta trailer park is greatly needed in the To~ of $o~taomd~ the questmon ms ~us, where it ~]~] be best !oc~ted~ The entire Board agreed that the matter shoed be looked ~to f~ther before they wo~d ~ a~le to form ~_y opinion~ M~ Prims was advised the Board ~o~d like to see ~ description of the area and a sketch of the proposed use of the l~d. With refer~uce to the sw~mimg pool~ M~ ~ins stated that it would certai~y be needed with a tr,!er park ~nd motel~ He 8outho!,,d To~a Plau~ing Board -3- ~eptember 9~ 19~9 would like to have a pool with ,hot and cold water and possibly have it frozen over in the winter for ic~e skat~g~ The pool wo~&d be open to the motel ~d trailer people for their use~ bu~t a sme~l charge wo~d be made to to~s peopie~ Mr~ ~S had been in contact with R~. Villa ~ud Mr. Majkowski of the $~foik Comnty He~th Deponent ~ud was advised a firm pl~ sho~d be drachm before they co~d advise about cesspools~ water supply~ drainage~ etc~ With reference to the trailer park~ ~ P~ins ~zo~d like to st~t with 20 or 30 trai!ers~ tc be exp~ded to [5 or 60 in the fut'~e~ the ~ots to be ~0 ft. by I00 ft. There ~e eight acres of land in the rear of his property whi~a wo~d be used as the entire trailer park in the future. The problem of t~ation upon a trailer park was discussed~ and the effect it wo~d have by br~ging additional children to the ~Lns stated he ho~es to have or~y people in the park ~,~ho will rema~ at least si~ months~ thereby he m~ht be able to ~ork o~.t some agreement where ~es ~e concerned. The CD~airme~u advised that it is against the policy of the Ptarming Board to give a defi~%ite reco~endation on anything +~t ~ .... ~ ~,~e them in ~tit~on fowm. however it was suggest ed that sLuce ~ Pr~s has approximately 12 acres mn al~ tha~ the chm~ge not be made on the entire parcel. ~. Yo~ug~ ,~d c~ried were ordered filed in the ~ffice of the To~,m C!erk~ The Plmunf~E Board received notification from the To-~u~ Board advising that the petition of ,~o~ I. The Pl~ing Bo~d discussed the proposed ordinance for Southold To~,m P!eaoming Board ~ September 97 !9~9 the excavation and removal of topsoil. I,'~.
