MINUTES
Southold Town Planning Board
August 13, 1974
A meeting of the Planning Board was held at the
Fishers Island School, Fishers Island, New York.
Present were Henry Moisa, Vice-Chairman; Henry
Raynor and Alfred Grebe. Absent: John Wickham and
Frank S. Coyle. Mr. Edward Bage, P.E. also attended.
The meeting was called to order at l:O0 by the Vice-
Chairman HenryMoisa.
Henry Walsh subdivision.
Discussion was held on the subdivision of Henry Walsh
located at Fishers Island, New York. The attorney for
the developer, Stanley S. Corwin, was to be contacted
for an appointment with the Planning Board regarding
deficiencies. One lot has been sold as a casual sale
and work has been commenced without a building permit.
Howard Terry, Building Inspector, has returned the
application and feelbecause Bt is not an approved sub-
division, the private road is not suitable for access.
M~. Terry was to be asked to contact Justice Doyen of
Fishers Island to issue a summons for commencing construction
without a permit. There was an on-site inspection of the
property in question before the meeting and Mr. Grebe noted
that there had been further filling in of the wetlands.
Land's End turnaround.
Revised maps of the turnaround were to be sent to the Highway
Committee and the Highway Superintendent for their study.

Blue Horizons.
Discussion was held on whether the comment by the Suffolk
County Board of Health that the water was "satisfactory'~ was
sufficient. It was to be determined if the samples had been
taken within the last six months.
Oregon View.
The roads in this subdivision were discussed and Mr. Dean
was to be asked to meet with Lawrence M. Tuthill, P.E.
regarding them.
Mr. Moisa read a letter from Mr. John V.N. Klein, County
Executive regarding scheduled meetings on farmland acquisition
by the County. (development rights)
Cardinale referral from the Board of Appeals.
It was decided to have Robert Tasker, Esq., Town Attorney,
write a letter to the Planning Board explaining what their
position has to be on this.
Crown Land Lane~ Inc.
Mr. Edson's letter regarding the possibility of the County
accepting 30,000 - 35,000 square foot lots in a cluster
was discussed. It was generally felt by the members present
that the open space would not be meaningful if the lots were
required to be this large, unless it was an extremely large
parcel of land.
Orient Point.
This subdivision was discussed re the possible ac'Guisition
by the County which caused them to not review the preliminary
map. There was notaction taken.
Motion was made by Menry Raynor, seconded by Alfred Grebe
and carried that the meeting be adjourned. Meeting was
adjourned at 2:00 p.m.
