A.regular meeting of the Southold Town PlanningBosrd w~s held at ?: 30 P. N.
on Mond~v, January 13, 1955, in the Town Clerk's office, Southold, N. Y.
There were present: Mr. John Wickham, Chairman
Mr. Harold R. Reeve
Er. Henry F. Moisa

Also present: F~. Howard M. Terry,-Building Inspector; Mr. Harold R. Price,
Supt. of Highways; Er. Ottow W. Vam Tull, Er. Robert W. Tasker; Town Counsel and
Mr. Norman~. Klipp, Town Supervisor.
Petition of Harry Smith of Maple Lane, SCathold, N. Y., for a change of
zone from "A" Residential and Agricultural to "B" Business district all that tract
of land described as PARCEL I and PARCEL II, West of the Village of Greenport, on
the North Road, Greenport, N. Y., as described in accompanying map amd application.
Mr. Kopp presented asketch of the intended use. He exp~ined that the applicant
intended to erect a~otel on PJLROEL II and t_bat they antici~ed putting a right of
way to the Sound on Parcel I.
It was the determination of the Planning Board
RES0AVE, That the P~ing Board recommend to the 2own Board aoproval of
change of zone on PAR0~ II to a depth of 3~5 feet an& t~t pARCEL I be held in
abeyance for theI time 'being,
Mr. 0orwLu 0. Grathwohl and Mr. Harry Lister appeared inco~nection with
Detition for a c~e of zone from "A" Resi~e~$iai and AgricUltural to

A committee of two men was appoimte~ to meet with Mr. Lister to determine the
exact dimensions of the areahe wishes zoned "B"Busimess and it was
RESOLVED, That the PlanningBeardrecomwend to the TownBeard approval of
this change of zone and the Plan~ingBoardcommittee to submitthe exact
dimensions in their report as seen as possible.

Since the Town Board has passe~ a resolution to the effec$~ that tax
exempt properties wo~ld not in the future h~ve to pay a fee for ApplicAtion or
Appeal it was the unanimous decision of the Board to
~ESOLVE, ~h~t the Planning Beard recommend ts the Town Board a reftu~
of $15.00 to ~illiamE. Eeebee who p~id a fee of that amount on AppeaI No. $1
