We have discussed this site and you indicated that a letter had been previously written requesting a site plan. Please be advised that you had addressed that request to a previous tenant. Ward, Chairman ~z~_ Pollak Property N/W/C LIRR Right of Way and Depot Lane, Cutchogue SCTM# 1000-96-4-8.1 October 31, 1996 The Town Investigator has brought to this Board's attention the fact that the above site is being used for a junk yard/recycling/salvage type of operation. The Board's staff had made a recent inspection of the site, which confirmed the Investigators findings. The site does not have site plan approval. We have asked the Town Investigator to issue an appearance ticket for the illegal use of the property for the following reasons: 1. Lack of an approved site plan. 2. Lack of an appropriate permit from the Town Board, (either a junkyard or salvage permit). Our records indicate that this Board initially requested a site plan for this property by letter dated November 1, 1990. However, this request was ignored. Because of a citizen's complaint and the Town Investigator's request, this Board has again requested a site plan from Richard Israel, the owners agent. The Town Board has jurisdiction in issuing permits for salvage centers and junk yards. The Planning board recommends that the town Board notify the owner of the required permits.
