Dear Mr. Orlowski:
Mr. Bums has begun minor construction work on the aforementioned building. The Building
Department has issued a stop work order and suggested we send you a letter to descdbe the
existing conditions, proposed uses, and parking. Mr. Forrester requires a letter or statement from
the Planning Board before he will consider issuing a building permit.
As you know, the former owner used the front building as a retail carpet sales store and the rear
building for storage. Mr. Bums intends to lease the front building to a tenant with a usa that is
allowed in the LB District. The rear building will continue to be used for storage.
Mr. Burns plans to remove several windows and doors, install new windows in existing window
openings, install new vinyl exterior siding, new asphalt roof shingles, and new signage as
permitted by Town Code. A sign application will be completed as required at a later date.
