Attendee Stakeholders: Victor Brown Melanie Norden, Co-Secretary Diane Gilmore Jill Dunbar Sylvia Holzberg Absent: Mariel Dobler, Co-Secretary Peter Russo Nelia Purnhagen The meeting opened with a discussion of the stakeholders meeting held with the Planning Board of 2/25/2008. Stakeholders expressed concerns regarding Mr. Solomon's actions at the meeting, and the group's need to be kept informed by the Planning Board regarding residential and commercial proposed projects which might have a measurable impact upon the Hamlet, its way of life, the Village business district, flora and fauna, water, traffic, environment, etc. The Group agreed to wait for a response by Phillip Beltz to Melanie's March 5th memo on the subject. Plans were made to attend the stakeholder reception on 3/13. The "Bay to Sound" grant and the role of the Group for the East End was discussed. Melanie provided some background on the Group's activities on the North and South Forks, and filled in members on some of the particulars of the Village's "Bay to Sound" grant proposal. The Silver Lake area was discussed, and Jill provided members with additional information regarding the area and some of the residents' concerns. Don Leslie's resignation as Chairman was discussed and regretfully accepted. The group unanimously requested that M. Norden to extend an invitation via email to Peter Russo to accept the role of Chairman. The next meeting will be held on March 31, 2008 at Peconic Landing at 5:30 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Melanie Norden, Co-Secretary
