Greenport/Town of Southold Planning Board

· Annexation & other issues of Stakeholder interest establish agreed-
upon procedures for keeping Stakeholders in the loop/including
stakeholders in discussions
· Marine Development District at Port of Egypt area & Greenport/Southold
stakeholder interface
· Status of 3-way light at North and Sound Roads
· Status of proposed building height regulations - Town Architectural
Review Board
· Status of Hamlet-wide signage
· Explore/suggest Waterfront/vista protection code legislation
· "Clean up After Your dog" sign at park next to Information Booth
· Explore purchase of "Old Barge" property for a Town Nature Center/Town
boat launch; possibly with preservation monies? Through Peconic Land
Trust, a la New Suffolk waterfront parcel?
· Town of Southold Tree Committee - draft and enforce legislation against
clear cutting; establish substantial fines for "clear cutting" with
monies paid reverting to the Committee for re-planting
· Report on kayak Trail & race project
· Enforcing "blight" code regulations
-"blight" regulations are already "on the books." Have enforcement
officer vigorously enforce regulations by notifying property owners
of non-compliance & affixing fines/re-assigning fine levels;
including, if necessary, parcels owned or leased by the Village of
Greenport, including, but not limited to between 7-11 to Port of
Egypt. Remove illegal stored/parked cars at Empire Gas station and on
other parcels; remove at owners' expense buildings or storage sheds
which do not meet current code regulations; remove stored trailers,
old trucks; clean up "antique shop" on north side of Rt. 25; enforce
regulations re stored boats, "high and dris," etc.
