Box 1179 Southold, New York 11971 Fax (516) 765-1823 Telephone (516)-765-1800 MINUTES Present were: Dick Ryan, Ray Huntington, Joe Krukowski, Fred Lee, Reed Jarvis, Melissa Spiro & Marian Sumner. The Minutes of the November 27, 2000 meeting were accepted as read. Old Applications Cullinane - Working on application herself. Manor Grove - Will review the appraisal and discuss it at next meeting. Hubbard - As per Town Attorney, everything should be completed week of December 18, 2000. The Committee reviewed the Town Attorney's Phase I Environmental Site Assessment. The Committee felt that the Hubbards should take care of it as far as cleaning it up. Melissa will let Greg know. Neuer-Sutermeister - Closing scheduled for December 18th. A survey is needed. Doroskl - applicant wants closing early 2001. Blum - Dick met with Mr. Blum and his wife and made the offer to him. He will get back to Dick. Simon - Melissa will talk to the Peconic Land Trust, as Mr. Simon wants the Peconic Land Trust to handle. Tim Caufield suggested not to make the offer unless it is for the whole -2- package. The owner has great expectations for the value of this property. The Committee decided to wait and let Tim Caufield work with him. Schreiber - offer accepted. Planning Board granted sketch approval. Starkie - offer accepted. Public hearing to be held on January 3, 2001. Goerler - Closing in January 2001. Jenkins - Ready to close in January 2001. Scott - Public hearing to be held on January 3, 2001. McGunnigle - Marian Sumner will contact. $idor - Awaiting subdivision approval. Reed Jarvis will contact. Pollio - County made offer. County awaiting response. Elak - Land Preservation Committee authorized appraisal. Joe Krukowski will make offer. Melissa will send letters to adjacent property owners. Ed Dart has contacted Melissa about the Custer Institute property. He would like to plant trees. McFeeley property around Laurel l-ake - The Town owns land adjacent to this on Laurel Lake. The County is now doing an updated appraisal. Marian and Melissa will work on this. Greenways Program - Mel~ssa, Marian and Greg Yakaboski met with Jim Burke f~'o~m the County to discuss this program. 2% Transfer Tax - Melissa has prepared a chart for the Town Board which shows: Issues, Problems, Solutions and Implementation. Land Preservation Committee vacancies - Interviews for the two vacancies are set for Tuesday, December 19, 2000 at 4:00 p.m. -3- Appraisals - Ray Huntington presented suggestions to the Committee with regard to items to be included in appraisals. Appraisers will be contacted. The next meeting of the Land Preservation Committee is scheduled for Monday, January 8, 2001 at 7:30 p.m. With no further business to be conducted, the meeting was adjourned at 10:15 p.m.  lly submitted, Wilkins
