upcoming General Election on November 6, 2012, please be advised of the following:
There is one (1) unexpired term of office of Town Trustee to be filled at this election. It is the
unexpired term of Jill M. Doherty which will expire on December 31, 2012.

Dear Mrs Neville:
As required by Section 4-106.2, of the New York State Election Law, you are required to
transmit to the Suffolk County Board of Elections, a certificate indicating which County or Town
offices are to be voted for in the upcoming General Election, to be held on November 6, 2012.
The certificate must show:
1) The official title of office to be filled.
2) The term of office in years.
3) Any unexpired terms to be filled and the number of years of the unexpired term.
In addition to the above, please be advised, that in accordance with Section 4-108.1(b) of the
New York State Election Law, September 13, 2012, is the last day for the Clerk of any County,
Town or Village to transmit to the Board of Elections a certified copy of any proposal,
proposition or referendum to be voted for in the upcoming General Election (at least thirty-six
days prior to the Election). Your response should be on your official stationery and bear your
signature and official seal. With the enactment of the Help America Vote Act (HAVA), we are
required to accurately produce all publications in English and in Spanish. Please be sure to
submit a certification that the Spanish translation accurately translates the proposal, proposition
or referendum.
Please direct all correspondence to the attention of the Commissioners no later than March
15th, 2012.
