Project Description: To construct a 30' long pergola attached to the entrance of

Findings: The project meets all the requirements for issuance of an
Administrative Permit set forth in Chapter 275 of the Southold Town Code. The
issuance of an Administrative Permit allows for the operations as indicated on the
site plan prepared by Robert I. Brown, Architect, P.C. of Fairweather Design
Assoc., last dated November 7, 2011, and stamped approved on March 21,2012.
Special Conditions: None.
Inspections: Final Inspection.
If the proposed activities do not meet the requirements for issuance of an
Administrative Permit set forth in Chapter 275 of the Southold Town Code, a

The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has completed a review of your proposal to
add a pergola to the front of your home.
Based on the information you submitted, this department has determined that the project is listed in
the Tidal Wetlands Land Use Regulations (6NYCRR Part 661.5(50)) as a use not requiring a permit.
Therefore, no permit is required under the Tidal Wetlands Act (Article 25) of the Environmental
Conservation Law.
Be advised, any additional work or modification to the project as described, may require DEC
authorization. Please contact this office if such activities are contemplated.

LEO & VIRGINIA ALESSI request an Administrative Permit to construct a 30' long pergola attached to
the entrance of the existing dwelling. Located: 1700 Cedar Point Dr. East, Southold. SCTM#92-1-3
The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter 268, Waterfront Consistency Review of the Town of
Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy Standards.
Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form submitted to this
department, as well as the records available to me, it is my recommendation that the proposed action is
CONSISTENT with the Policy Standards and therefore is CONSISTENT with the LWRP.
It is recommended that the board establish vegetated buffers both (undisturbed and landscaped)
landward of the wetlands incorporating existing vegetation to preserve the water quality of
Cedar Creek.
Pursuant to Chapter 268, the Board of Trustees shall consider this recommendation in preparing its
written determination regarding the consistency of the proposed action.

INSTRUCTIONS
All applicants for permits* including Town of Southold agencies, shall complete this CCAF for
proposed actions that are subject to the Town of Southold Waterfront Consistency Review Law. This
assessment is intended to supplement other information used by a Town of Southold agency in
making a determination of consistency. *Except minor exempt actions including Building Permits
and other ministerial permits not located within the Coastal Erosion Hazard Area.
