LAND PRESERVATION COMMITTEE MEETING
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 1999
MINUTES
Present were:
Dick Ryan, Jim Pim, Noreen McKenna, Fred Lee, Brian
Murphy, Melissa Spiro, Hoot Sherman, Greg Yakaboski
and Tim Caufield.
Cherepowich property - the committee again discussed this application.
The committee felt that this would be a good property for partnership
with the County. Tim Caufield said that the Cherepowich family wants
to keep this property in agriculture. The consensus was for Hoot to
check with the County and see if they are willing to engage in a part-
nership either 70% - 30% or 50% - 50%. Before the Town does anything,
we will want to get this information from the County. An offer won't
be made until we hear back from Hoot.
Raphael Vineyards - Greg Yakaboski showed the committee the survey
map on this property. The committee told him they were not satisfied
with the map the way it is and asked that he have it corrected by
the surveyor.
John Sidor application - the committee voted to have Patrick Givens
do an appraisal. Dick will get a price on the appraisal from him. Reed
Jarvis will bring the Sidors in t~ speak with Melissa Spiro in the Planning
Department.
Peconic Land Trust - they are .~orking with the Glover family, who has
made an application with the County.
-2-

up with a final map.
