Raphael Vineyards - the committee reviewed the amended survey map on this property and it now seems to be in order. Cherepowich application - Tim Caufield said they got verification from the County to either do a partnership with the Town or take the whole thing themselves. The County seems anxious to spend their money quickly. Tim will take a copy of the appraisal to the County. Also, Tim will speak to the owners of the adjoining property to see what is happening. A motion was made by Jim Pim and seconded by Reed Jarvis to have Tim Caufield go to the County with the appraisal' and have the County purchase the development rights on the Cherepowich property. All were in favor. The committee discussed Patrick Given's estimates on appraisals for the Scott and Sidor properties and thought these appraisals were high. It was suggested going back to him for a lower appraisal price. Melissa and Reed are working with the Sidors. Reed brought in a map of the Sidor property for the committee to review. John Sidor is having a survey done on the property. Melissa and Tim will go over this survey, when it is completed. Tim is also working with the Scotts. -2- George Dunn application - Tim said it is a nice woodland piece. It is located next to the Plock property. It has some sensitive freshwater wetlands on it. The committee questioned whether the purchase of this property would be more beneficial to the Town or for the benefit of the waterfront lots that are on the property. This application was put on hold. Tim brought in a booklet that the Peconic Land Trust has made up for Southampton Town. He will get more copies for the committee to look at. The Peconic Land Trust is also working on the Schreiber, Glover, Scott and Joe Macari properties. The next meeting of the Land Preservation Committee is scheduled for Monday, April 19, 1999 at 7:30 p.m. With no further business to be conducted, the meeting was adjourned at 9:15 p.m. espectfully submitted · Wilkins Y
