Dick introduced all the member and attendees.
Mar'k Lieb application - property is located on Oregon Rd. He will be
selling the development rights on 12+ acres from the road, back. He is
closing on the property in January 2000. He intends to put up a morton
building on it at some point down the road. He will get a new survey.
The committee is very interested in this property.
Agricultural Strategy Report - The Peco~nic Land Trust is still working
with the Planning Department on this. The inventory section is the most
important part. It was suggested that perhaps the committee members
could go out for a few hours on a Saturday and visit with some of the
farm owners.
The committee reviewed the Rabbit Lane Assn. application. There is
no frontage on Marion Lake. The committee felt there were no benefits
to the public and decided not to recommend the acceptance of their offer
to the Town Board.
Shinn/Page application - It is a 22.5 acre parcel on Oregon Road. They
would like to sell the development rights on 20 acres. Dick will be in
touch with them. We will go ahead with the appraisal process.
Old Business:
Scott - wants to wait until after summer.
Schreiber - In process of being appraised.
Conway - awaiting appraisal.
Ernst appraisal - Dick would like the committee to review it and come to
some decision for next month's meeting.
Dam Pond - Peconic Land Trust is getting close to a contract. It is still
being negotiated.
Fishers Island trip - Dick got to talk to Peter Burr and his brother
Frank. They discussed land preservation on Fishers Island. Dick
also got to speak to George Conway on the trip. He would like to
preserve his farm.
NYS Agriculture and Markets Application - it is on its way.
With no further business to be discussed, the meeting was adioured at
9:45 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Secretary
