MINUTES
Present were:
Dick Ryan, Ray Huntington, Jim Pim, Joe Krukowski,
Noreen McKenna, Reed Jarvis, Brian Murphy, Melissa Spiro,
Bennett Orlowski and Pat Given.
Dick introduced the members and attendees.
The Minutes of the November 22, 1999 meeting were accepted as read.
Pat Given of Given Associates spoke to the committee about how he does
the appraisals for tile development right purchases. There are three
approaches, the committee felt that by using two of them, there seemed
to be more flexibility in the negotiating price, from the high end to the
Iow end. The committee felt his discussion was very enlightening.
Custer Institute - Dick has tried to reach owner but was told that her
husband is very ill at this time. This will be put on hold for now.
Scott property - Mrs. scott has had an offer from the cemetery to buy a
chunk of her property. She has asked that her application be withdrawn.
Noreen will contact her and tell her that the door is still open, should
she change her mind.
Schreiber application - offer has been accepted and they are still processing
a map.
Ernst - offer has been resubmitted to the owners and nothing has been heard
from them.
Conway - closing will take place on Wednesday, Decemeber 29, 1999, according
to Greg Yakaboski.
Lieb - is on track to close the end of January. Dick will write a letter to
Gail Wickham, their attorney.

Shinn/Page - have not heard back from them. They have to get a
release from the holder of their mortgag~
Sidor - was on the Planning Board's agenda to review their map.
The closing will take place after everything is okay with the Planning
Boa rd.
The Committee has not heard anything from Greg Yakaboski on Zahler
or Wells closings.
Agricultural Protection Strategy - Town won't be doing anything until
after the New Year.
Ray Huntington broke the Township of Southold into 10 segments.
One would be Fishers Island and the other Plum Island, leaving 8
segments or blocks. Ray, Melissa, Dick, Brian and John Sepenoski
will work on getting maps for next meeting.
/and Preservation Coordinator - awaiting hiring of a new planner and
civil service coming up with a title for Land Preservation Coordinator.
Dick spoke with Jean Cochran and a meeting is set up for January 10th.
The Committee has agreed to meet twice a month.
With no further business to be conducted, the meeting was adjoured
at 9:50 p.m.
