Construction and operation standards. A. General. The following standards are required for all operations within the jurisdiction of the Trustees: (2) Erosion control. Installation of an erosion control structure is necessary during any building, grading, landscaping or site work activity within Trustee jurisdiction. This structure may include, but is not limited to, installation of a silt fence, hay bales, wood chip berm and silt booms. Statement of the effect, if any, on the wetlands and tidal waters of the town that may result by reason of such proposed operations (use attachments if appropriate): The project entails the ordinary and routine maintenance of an existing shoreline structure, specifically the in-place replacement of an existing wood bulkhead with a vinyl bulkhead. The grade behind the bulkhead will be raised 12 inches, which will lessen the slope and thus the potential rate and volume of surface water runoff moving toward the bulkhead; and a previously required 20' wide nonturf buffer will be established and maintained behind the bulkhead upon project completion. Therefore, the project will not have any significant adverse impacts on the adjacent tidal wetlands or waters of the Town.
