our office staffand poor quality video reception from Fishers Island during
deliberations at Special Meetings both continue to persist.
Board and Office Policies, Practices, and Activities:
Distribution of Updated Templates for Writing ZBA Decisions
The Chairperson reviewed and updated templates used by the ZBA to write decisions
for area variances, use variances, waiver of lot merger and special exception permits
for permitted uses (general), accessory apartments in accessory structures, and
B&B's. These templates were reviewed by ATA Andaloro prior to distribution by the
Chairperson to all Board members and the office staff.
Required Annual Training for Board Members
After a discussion at the monthly Regular Meeting, all Board members agreed to
forego attending the Association of Towns Annual Meeting in 2012, in favor of
developing a more cost effective proposal to the Town Board for obtaining the
required four hours of annual mining. The training will be done in-house and will be
specifically related to the work and interests of Board members.
