Dear Neighbor;
Please find enclosed a copy of Legal Notice of a hearing before the Zoning board of
Appeals on April 22nd, 2010 at 9:45 AM. Also enclosed are a copy of the site plan and a
copy of the Suffolk County street plan.
We are requesting a new foundation for the house. Please note that we are keeping the
footprint of the house the same but feel it would be better environmentally and
structurally to have a new foundation rather than work around the old one which is in
poor shape.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 267 of the Town Law and Town Code
Chapter 280 (Zoning), Town of Southold, the following public hearing will be held by the
SOUTHOLD TOWN ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS at the Town Hall, 53096 Main Road,
P.O. Box 1179, Southold, New York 11971-0959, on THURSDAY~ APRIL 22~ 2010:
9:45 A.M. JOHN SHACK, JR. ~6363. Request for Variances from Code Section 280-116,
based on an application for building permit and the Building Inspector's October 15,2009,
amended December 4, 2009 Notice of Disapproval concerning demolition and construction of a
single family dwelling, (1) less than the code required set back of 75 feet from a bulkhead, (This
is a deviation of prior grant #5933 for alterations & additions) at: 1265 Shore Dr., Greenport, NY.

The Board of Appeals will hear ail persons, or their representatives, desiring to be heard
at each hearing, and/or desiring to submit written statements before the conclusion of
each hearing. Each hearing will not start earlier than designated above. Files are
