Monthly Report

· Working with John Sepenoski on the Bay to Sound Project.
· Planted 5 trees, donated by Ed Dart, installed 3 new benches, move
kiosk and installed a dog waste receptacle at the Dog Park
· On going trail maintenance and storm damage clean up on Laurel
Lake, Downs Farm, Arshamomaque, Arshamomaque Pond, Dam
Pond and Mill Road Preserves.
· Went with Laure Klahre from the Land Preservation Office to
Fishers Island to look at proposed stewardship project (trail) on the
Silver Eel Preserve and trail work on the Exercise Trail.
· Attended several meeting with Phillip Beltz on the 2012 Community
Development Block Grant Program Budget.
· Repaired the washer and the sanitizer at the Animal Shelter.
· Attended several meetings in reference to the Road Access Permit
Form with the Trustees and Town Attorney's Office.
· Attended a meeting with Curt Davids and Jamie Richter in reference
to a proposed Goldsmith Inlet Road Armoring Project.
· Installed a timber guard rail fence (250 feet) at Kenny's Beach.
· Constructed a small stone blend parking lot, built a kiosk and moved
the entrance gate at the Sound View Preserve (Bittner).
· Meeting with Suffolk County Health Department in reference to
violations at the fuel containment tank at the Southold Police
Department.
· Removed a large tree on the Marratooka Lake Preserve (South) that
was blocking the path to the lake that is used for fishing and
kayaking access.
· Repaired vandalism to trail signs at the Laurel Lake Preserve
(twice).
· Sent out a Request for Proposal to install new sidewalks, ramps and
porches at the Peconic Lane Community Center.
· Attended a meeting with Supervisor Russell on others in reference to
a wind energy project proposal at the Southold Transfer Station.
