Monthly Report

· Working with John Sepenoski on the Bay to Sound Project. Installed
a boardwalk at the Arshamomaque Preserve and ordered lumber for
miscellaneous materials for the above.
· On going trail maintenance and storm damage clean up on Laurel
Lake, Downs Farm, Arshamomaque, Arshamomaque Pond, Dam
Pond and Mill Road Preserves.
· Attended a meeting with Legislator Ed Romaine and several
residents on Mill Road, Peconic, in reference to cost sharing by
Suffolk County on dredging and a proposed road armoring project,
on Goldsmith Inlet.
· Installed a new customer service window in the Assessor's Office.
· Installed a new fence at the Southold Dog Park, doubling the size of
the existing facility. Completed site work around the perimeter of
the facility.
· Repairs were made to the fuel containment tank at the Southold
Police Department.
· Attended a Department Meeting with Supervisor Russell.
· Attended a meeting with Suffolk County Department of Public
Works - Dredge Operator in reference to placing dredge spoil at the
end of Indian Neck Lane, Peconic... The erosion at this site has been
repaired.
· Attended a meeting of the Executive Safety Committee.
· Attended a meeting with Henrich Equipment, Town DPW
Electrician Tim Abrams and Town Electrical Inspector, in reference
to up grading the electrical hook up at the Police Department Fuel
Facility.
· Painted over graffiti at McCabe's and Kenny's Beach Restroom
Facilities.
· Winterized the Tasker Park Restrooms and closed the facility for the
season.
· Repaired the washer and the sanitizer at the Animal Shelter.
· Attended a meeting with Curt Davids and Jamie Richter in reference
to a proposed Goldsmith Inlet Road Armoring Project.
· Installed an asphalt apron in front of the Southold Justice Court
Office.
· Cleaned up a small amount ceiling plaster that had fallen in one of
the upstairs rooms at the Conway Farm. No apparent water leak
was evident. The ceiling looks like it has been patched in the past.
· Issued a Purchase Order to install new sidewalks, ramps and porches
at the Peconic Lane Community Center.
