ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE
November 28, 2000
The ARC met at Town Hall at 4:30 PM. Members present were:
Garrett A. Strang, Co-Chairman
Robert I. Brown, Co-Chairman
Herbert Ernst, Southotd
Yan Rieger, Orient
Sanford Hanauer, Mattituck
Robert Keith, Mattituck, Secretary
Also attending was Robert G. Kassner of the Planning Board Staff.
Moved by Garrett A. Strang and seconded by Robert Keith, it was RESOLVED
to APPROVE the MINUTES of the meeting of October 6, 2000.
The Committee reviewed the application of Theodore Carpluk for the Southold
vacancy and recommends approval.
ALEX BOUKAS DENTAL OFFICE (Main Road - Mattituck)
Moved by Herbert Ernst and seconded by Robert Brown, it was
RESOLVED to recommend APPROVAL subject to the receipt of three copies of
the plans upon which to endorse approval and color pictures of the existing
building. The Committee suggests replication of the eave return on the gable of
the existing building on the gable of the addition.
Vote of the Committee: Ayes All.
GULF SERVICE STATION (Main Road at Bayview Road - Southold). Garrett
Streng recused himself.
Moved by Yah Rieger and seconded by Herbert Ernst, it was RESOLVED
to APPROVE the revised drawing showing a fiat roof on the bump-out.
Vote of the Committee: Ayes All.
MARTHA CLARA VINEYARDS (2595 Sound Avenue - Mattituck)
The Committee noted that the Planning Board had overruled its
recommendation that the color of the stucco be a softer, more subtle shade like
that in the amended rendering.
