HomeMy WebLinkAbout02/01/2001SOUTHOLD TOWN ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE February 1, 2001 The ARC met at Town Hall at 4:00 p.m.. Members present were: Garrett A. Strang, Co-Chairman Robert I. Brown, Co-Chairman Howard G. Meinke, Cutchogue Yan Rieger, Odent Robert Keith, Mattituck, Secretary Also attending were Robert G. Kassner of the Planning Board Staff and Patricia C. Moore, Attorney, for Breezy Sound. Moved by Garrett A. Strang and seconded by Howard Meinke it was RESOLVED to APPROVE the MINUTES of the meeting of December 14, 2000. Vote of the Committee: Ayes All. BREEZY SOUND MOTEL (North Road - Greenport) Pre-Submission Ms. Moore described a 68 unit, five building motel with an exterior of white Hardy Plank with white trim and doors and a black roof. The Committee requested information about the material and color of the railings and entrance doore, the use of gdlls on the terrace doors, the location of mechanicals, the style and location of exterior lighting, the material, color and location of roof penetrations, the type of heating system and venting, and later, the signage. The Committee asked that consideration be given to a break-up and move of parking to make it less visible from the road, the use of casings around the windows, a reduction of the color contrast between the black roof and white siding, and an increase in the roof pitch to 5 or 6.
