HomeMy WebLinkAbout04/05/2001SOUTHOLD TOWN ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE April 5,2001 The ARC met at Town Hall at 4:30 p.m.. Members present were: Garrett A. Strang, Co-Chairman Robert I. Brown, Co-Chairman Theodore Carpluk, Southold Howard G. Meinke, Cutchogue Robert Keith, Mattituck, Secretary Also attending was Robert G. Kassner of the Planning Board Staff. Moved by Garrett A. Strang and seconded by Theodore Carpluk, it was RESOLVED to APPROVE the MINUTES of the meetings of February 27 and March 20, 2001. Vote of the Committee: Ayes All. ORIENT BY THE SEA (Main Road - Orient) Moved by Robert Keith and seconded by Robert Brown, it was RESOLVED to APPROVE the application with the CONDITION that the extedor lighting fixtures be more in character with those on the North Fork. It had been reported that the siding would be natural cedar shingles, the roofing forest green and the trim white. Vote of the Committee: Ayes All. H. L. FERGUSON MUSEUM (Fishers Island) Moved by Theodore Carpluk and seconded by Howard Meinke, it was RESOLVED to APPROVE the application with the CONDITIONS that the application by agreed by the ARC members from Fishers Island, that the HVAC units be concealed and that the exterior and ground lighting fixture locations and catalogue cuts be submitted. Vote of the Committee: Ayes All. NORTH FORK YACHTS (Main Road - Mattituck) In order to consider the application, the Committee requests elevations and floor plans showing the relationship of the final construction with the existing building and the covered exterior space, photographs of the existing building, location of the mechanicals and exterior lighting ( with catalogue cuts for the latter), and placement of the fascia and trim. PERIWINKLE FURNITURE (Main Road - Southold) Moved by Robert Keith and seconded by Robert Brown, it was RESOLVED to APPROVE the application with the CONDITIONS that exterior lighting, if any, be submitted for review, that roof penetrations be located on the west of the roof ridge and that HCAV units be located on the west or south of the building.
