ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE
October 11, 2001
The ARC met at Town Hall at 4:30 p.m.. Members present were:
Garrett A. Strang, Co-Chairman
Robert I. Brown, Co-Chairman
Howard G. Meinke, New SuffolldCutchogue
Theodore Carpluk, Southold
Sanford Hanauer, Mattituck
Robert Keith, Mattituck, Secretary
Also attending were Robert C. Kassner of the Planning Board staff and
Warren Samboch for North Fork Yachts
Moved by Garrett Strang and seconded by Howard Meinke, it was
RESOLVED to APPROVE the MINUTES of the meeting of August 14, 2001.
Vote of the Committee: Ayes All.
NORTH SHORE YACHT (Main Road - Mattituck)
Moved by Theodore Carpluk and seconded by Howard Meinke, it was
RESOLVED to APPROVE the plans with the CONDITIONS that the roof pitch
over the enclosed area be 5 x12, over the open area be 2 × 12, that the vinyl
siding on the south elevation match the existing color and'that the metal on the
other three sides approximate the'¥inyl, that the roof color approximate the color of
the existing asphalt roof, that the fascia be white and that revised plans be
submitted in duplicate to reflect these changes.
Vote of the Committee: Ayes all.
RIVERHEAD BUILDING SUPPLY (Main Road - Greenport)
Moved by Garrett Strang and seconded by Robert Brown, it was
RESOLVED to TABLE the application awaiting roof and siding colors, details of
store front entry, a drawing of the east elevation, catalogue cuts of exterior lighting
fixtures (building-mounted as well as free standing), signage, details of the
rolldown gate at the check out and locations of the mechanicals and roof
penetrations.
It is suggested that the roof pitches on both storage buildings be 2 x 12 and
that casings, and perhaps grill work, be used with the windows on the west and
north elevations.
