ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE
May 14, 2002
The ARC met at Town Hall at 4:30 p.m.. Members present were:
Garrett A. Strang, Co-Chairman
Herbert Adler, Jr., Landmarks Preservation Committee
Yan Reiger, Orient
Howard G. Meinke, Cutchogue
Sanford Hanauer, Mattituck
Robert Keith, Mattituck, Secretary
Also present were Victor L'Eplattenier of the Planning Board Staff, Diane Herold,
David Saland, Jeffrey T. Butler and Joseph Pfaff.
Moved by Herbert Adler and seconded by Howard Meinke, it was
RESOLVED to APPROVE the MINUTES of the meeting of March 28, 2002.
Vote of the Committee: Ayes All,
ST. PETER'S LUTHERAN CHURCH (Main Road - Greenport)
Ms. Herold presented catalogue cuts of the three types of exterior lighting fixtures,
i.e. shielded downlight in the parking area, translucent cylinders at the entrance
and an emergency light by the rear kitchen door. The present and future air
conditioning units will be screened by arbor vitae. The suggestion to alter the roof
line was not agreed
Moved by Howard Meinke and seconded by Robert Keith, it was
RESOLVED to APPROVE the application.
Vote of the Committee: Ayes All.
FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH ( North Road - Cutchogue)
Ms. Herold presented catalogue cuts of the exterior lighting fixtures, i.e. entrance
fixtures, emergency lights in the rear, ground lighting of the front elevation and
sign, and shielded downlight for parking. The sign will be 4'x6', parallel to the
read and 3 feet above grade; railings will be wrought iron, front roof penetrations a
terratone color and the front gable clapboard hardy plank. Moved by Sanford
Hanauer and seconded by Yan Reiger, it was RESOLVED to APPROVE the
application with the CONDITIONS that the emergency light be a metal haloid
fixture, that the colors of the sign be submitted later for approval and that the
ground fixtures be screened to the sides with landscaping.

LAUREL LINKS (Main Road - Laurel)
Moved by Herbert Adler and seconded by Robert Keith, it was RESOLVED to
APPROVE the increase in height of the Maintenance Barn from 11' to 14' at the
eaves to allow for 12' doors. The previous approval for the Cart Barn and Half
Way House stand without need for review of the roof penetrations and lighting.
Approvals of the Club House and Pool House remain pending. Excerpts of
earlier minutes pertaining to Laurel Links are appended for reference.
