HomeMy WebLinkAbout06/25/2002SOUTHOLD TOWN ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE dune 2,5, 2002 The ARC met at Town Hall at 4:30 p.m.. Members present were: .Garret[ A. Strang, Co-Chairman Robert I. Brown, Co-Chairman Herbert Adler, Jr., Landmarks Preservation Committee Yan Reiger, Orient Sanford Hanauer, Mattituck Robert Keith, Mat[ituck, Secretary Also present were Victor L'Eplattenier and Scot[ Hughes of the Planning Board Staff, Diane Herold, Bud Koehler, Nancy Steelman, and Russell Hearn. Moved by Herbert Adler and seconded by Sanford Hanauer, it was RESOLVED to APPROVE the MINUTES of the meeting of May 14, 2002. Vote of the Committee: Ayes All. FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH ( North Road - Cutchogue) Ms. Herold indicated that the emergency light would be a metal haloid fixture, that the lighting for the sign would be screened and that the sign would be hunter green with ivory insets and posts. It was RESOLVED by Robert Keith and seconded by Garret[ Strang to APPROVE the application. Vote of the Committee: Ayes excepting one Nay (Sanford Hanauer) and one Abstention (Yan Rieger). OSPREY DOMINION WINERY (Main Road - Peconic) Mr. Koehler presented an agricultural storage barn of green metal siding and a mill finish roof with a 1/2 to 12" pitch located about 700' from the Main Road. Moved by Herbert Adler and seconded by Sanford Hanauer, it was RESOLVED to APPROVE the application as submit[ed' Vote of the Committee: Ayes excepting one Nay (Robert Keith) NOTE TO THE PLANNING BOARD: PLEASE DO NOT REFER APPLICATIONS FOR REVIEW WHEN THE BUILDING HAS ALREADY BEEN ORDERED. PREMIUM WINE GROUP (North Road - Mattituck) Ms. Steelman described, metal canopy 56' x 60' to cover the crushing pad behind the easterly of the two existing buildings. The metal roof will match the buildings and color of the columns will match the siding.
