ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE
June 3, 2003
The ARC met at Town Hall at 4:30 p.m.. Members present were:
.Garrett A. Strang, Co-Chairman
Herbert Ernest, Southold
Robert Keith, Mattituck, Secretary
Also present were Bruno Semon of the Planning Board ,Warren Sembach, Gall
Wickham and Gerard Goehringer for the Mattituck Park District; Harold E.
Gebhard and Patricia Moore for the Stanley Malon Building; as well as Nancy
Steelman and Ural Talgt for Sang Lee Farms.
Moved by Garrett Strang and seconded by Robert Keith, it was
RESOLVED to APPROVE the MINUTES of the meeting of April 3, 2003.
Vote of the Committee: Ayes All.
MATTITUCK PARK DISTRICT (Peconic Bay Boulevard - Mattituck)
It was RESOLVED by Robert Keith and seconded by Garrett Strang to TABLE the
application. Although conceptually agreeable, the Committee requests revised
plans showing the Hardy Plank siding with battens, a gable roof (the same pitch or
stepped down) extending over the porch, the missing elevations, the color of the
roof shingles, siding and trim as well as the location of the mechanicals and roof
penetrations.
Vote of the Committee: Ayes All.
STANLEY MALON BUILDING (Main Road - Cutchogue) Presubmission
The Committee had no serious objections but noted that revisions may be
necessary dependent on the decision of the Zoning Board of Appeals. Comments
included a recommendation that the cupola be reduced in scale, the location of
mecha,nic, als and roof penetrations be documented and that cuts of wall and
parkin~ubmitted.
SANG LEE FARMS (North Road - Peconic)
It was RESOLVED by Herbert Ernst and seconded by Robert Keith to APPROVE
the application with the CONDITION that revised drawing be provided to show
the color of the roof, the finish of the doom, and the location of the mechanicals
and roof penetrations.
Vote of the Committee: Ayes All.
The NEXT MEETING is scheduled for Thursday, June 19.
