HomeMy WebLinkAbout06/09/2003 SOUTHOLD TOWN ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE JUNE 19,2003 The ARC met at Town Hall at 4:30p.m., Members present were: Garrett A. Strang, Co-Chairman Herbert Adler, Jr., Landmarks Preservation Committee Howard G. Meinke, Cutchogue Sanford HanaUerl MattitUck Also present were Bruno Semon of the Planning Board Staff, Gail Wickham and Warren Sambach for Mattituck Park District, Ural Talgt for Silver Nails Winery and Sang Lee Farms, Chris Mohr and Warren Sambach for Chris Mohr Lawn and Landscape. MATTITUCK PARK DISTRICT (Peconic Bay Blvd. Mattituck) It was moved by Herbert Adler and seconded by Sanford Hanauer to approve the application showing slate green blend architectural roof shingle, stepped down gable roof over patio area, Hardie clapboard siding in natural grey color with all trim white and the following conditions; addition of screen planting on North side service entry, Use of direct vent side wall discharge mechanical equipment with no thru-roof metal chimney, plumbing vents above mol line to be black in color, consideration being given to inverting the location of the kitchen and office areas. Vote of the committee: Ayes All. SILVER NAILS WINERY (Main Road, Southold) It was moved by Sanford Hanauer and seconded by Howard G. Meinke to approve the application with the finishes as shown on the drawings submitted subject to the condition that a low growing natural vegetation barrier be planted between the terrace and the crashing pad. Vote of~he committee: Ayes All. CHRIS MOHR LAWN AND LANDSCAPE (North Road, Cutchogue) It was moved by Sanford Hanauer and seconded by Herbert Adler to TABLE the application. Although conceptually agreeable, the committee requested submittal of roofing and siding material samples-and_..~p!ors .as well as catalogue cuts of the exterior lighting. In addition the drawings for the site sign~ge'are to b~-~obmitted. Vote of the committee: Ayes 3. (Garrett A. Strang abstained) SANG LEE FARMS (North Road, Peconic) It was moved by Herbert Adler and seconded by Garrett A. Strang to approve the application with the submitted revised drawing showing the roof color matching the existing building, the ground mounted mechanical equipment having screen planting, the finish of the doors being natural wood and subject to the condition that the plumbing vents above roof line be a color that compliments the roofing (dark) and be placed on the Southeast side of the roof.
