ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE
November 6, 2003
The ARC met at Town Hall at 4:30 p.m.. Members present were:
Garrett A. Strang, Co-Chairman.
Robert I. Brown, Co-Chairman
Herbert Adler, Jr.,Landmarks Preservation Committee
Howard Meinke, Cutchogue
Robert Keith, Mattituck, Secretary
Also present were Bruno Semon of the Planning Board staff, Merlon E. Wiggin for
Brewer Boat Yard, Joseph J. Frohnhoefer II, Joseph J. Frohnhoefer III, Brett Kehl
and Gail Wickham for Seatow Services; and Thomas McCarthy for Mattituck Self
Storage.
Moved by Robert Brown and seconded by Garrett Strang, it was RESOLVED to
APPROVE the MINUTES of the meeting of September 23, 2003.
Vote of the Committee: Ayes all.
BREWER YACHT YARD (Manhasset Avenue - Greenport)
Moved by Robert Brown and seconded by Garrett Strang, it was RESOLVED to
APPROVE the APPLICATION with the CONDITIONS that color samples be
submitted, the roof penetrations be located on the southeast corner of the
building, the screened air conditioning unit be located on the east side and that
the cricket be larger and more visible.
Vote of the Committee: Ayes all.
Applicants are reminded that deviations from approved plans without the review
and approval of the Architectural Review Committee will cause recision of the
original approval and may negatively impact securing the Certificate of
Occupancy.
SEA TOW SERVICES (Boisseau Avenue - Southold)
Moved by Howard Meinke and seconded by Herbert Adler, it was RESOLVED to
APPROVE the APPLICATION with the CONDITIONS that the signage be ground
lit and of colonial appearance and that the exterior lighting be recessed soffit
lighting.
Vote of the Committee: Ayes All.
Applicants are reminded that deviations from approved plans without the review

MATTITUCK SELF-STORAGE (Wickham Avenue)
It was RESOLVED by Robert Brown and seconded by Garret Strang to
APPROVE the schedule of colors. The design of the signage remains
outstanding.
Vote of the Committee: Ayes all.
THE OLD BARGE (Main Road - Southold) Robert Brown recused himself.
In a pre-submission conference, the applicant described the driving of pilings to
stabilize the barge and the addition of a second floor to the structure. The
Committee agreed in concept with the proposal.
