HomeMy WebLinkAbout08/03/2004 SOUTHOLD TOWN ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE August 3, 2004 The ARC met at the Town Hall Annex at 4:00 p.m. Members present were: Robert I. Brown, Co-Chairman Nicholas J. Plananento, Southold Ronald McGreevy, Mattituck Howard Meinke, Cutchogue Robert Keith, Mattituck, Secretary Also present were Bruno Semon of the Planning Board staff, Peter Harbes for David Rose Perennials, Henry and Jenny Bremer for North Fork Deli, Pat Moore, Michael and Monica Raynor for Matt-A-Mar Marina and Ronnie Hill for Cutchogue Business Center. Moved by Robert Brown and seconded by Howard Meinke it was RESOLVED to APPROVE the MINUTES of the meeting of May 27, 2004. Vote of the Committee: Ayes all. DAVID ROSE PERENNIALS (5645 Aldrich Avenue - Mattituck) It was RESOLVED by Howard Meinke and seconded by Ron McGreevey to APPROVE the APPLICATION as submitted to add offices inside an existing agricultural building with the understanding that further reviews will be required if the plans are revised. Vote of the Committee: Ayes All. NORTH FORK DELI (11155 Main Road - Mattituck) The APPLICATION was TABLED awaiting details including colors, lighting, signage and resolution of the inconsistency in the roof lines between elevations. MATT-A-MAR MARINA (2255 Wickham Avenue - Mattituck) It was RESOLVED by Robert Keith and seconded by Howard Meinke to APPROVE the APPLICATION for a 28,000 sq. ft. addition to the boat storage barn and an attached 3300 sq. ft. office building SUBJECT to a review of the siding and roof materials for the office. The Committee favors colors and materials that match the storage barn. Vote of the Committee: Ayes All. Applicants are reminded that deviations from approved plans without the review and approval of the Architectural Review Committee will cause recision of the original approval and may negatively impact upon securing the Certificate of Occupancy. CUTCHOGUE BUSINESS CENTER (6595A Cox Lane - Cutchogue) After a presentation of the internal changes to this 12,000 sq. ft. storage building, the Committee TABLED the APPLICATION awaiting the signage, the lighting of the sign and the exterior of the building, and the identification of the roof vents. OSPREY DOMINION WINERY (Main Road - Peconic) The Committee continued to TABLE the APPLICATION awaiting the exterior color of the drivit, colors and material of the conservatory other than glass and the location of the roof penetrations. BILL FOX GROUNDS MAINTENANCE (2595 Peconic Lane - Peconic) It was RESOLVED by Howard Meinke and seconded by Ron McGreevey to APPROVE the APPLICATION. The Committee recommends that the sign be approximately aligned with the top of the first floor windows, Vote of the Committee: Ayes All. Applicants are reminded that deviations from approved plans without the review and approval of the Architectural Review Committee will cause recision of the original approval and may negatively impact upon securing the Certificate of Occupancy. NORTH FORK CUSTOM AUDIO/VIDEO (6619 Main Road - Mattituck) It was RESOLVED by Howard Meinke and seconded by Nick Planamento to APPROVE the Application as submitted July 26, 2004. The Committee thanks Mr. Salice for his cooperation in amending the earlier application, Vote of the Committee: Ayes All. Applicants are reminded that deviations from approved plans without the review and approval of the Architectural Review Committee will cause recision of the original approval and may negatively impact upon securing the Certificate of Occupancy. ELEMENTS OF NATURE (56125 Main Road - Southold) It was RESOLVED by Howard Meinke and seconded by Robert Brown to ACKNOWLEDGE the FULFILLMENT of the CONDITIONS set forth in its approval of January 29, 2004. Vote of the Committee: Ayes All. THE OLD BARGE (Main Road - Southold) Robert Brown recused himself. It was RESOLVED by Howard Meinke and seconded by Robert Keith to APPROVE the exterior lighting fixture, the CONDITION set forth in the approval of May 27, 2004. Vote of the Committee: Ayes All. The next meeting was set for Tuesday, August 17, 2004.
