Minutes

Members Present: Chairman Sanford Hanauer; Ural Talgat;
Nicholas Planamento; Elizabeth Thompson; Ron McGreevy; Howard
Meinke; Herbert Ernest; Bruno Semon and Amy Thiel, the Planning
Department Staff; Elizabeth Cantrell, Secretary.
The minutes for the May 24, 2007 meeting were approved.
Revisited A~lications:
WAREX PROJECT SCTM #1000-142-1-27
Vivian Kamath & Evan Ramlochan were the representatives for
this project.
TABLED: Revise plan showing a building that coincides more
in style with similar type buildings in several of the
Hampton townships. Use recessed lighting in place of the
strip ftuorescents, wider columns on canopy, with a gable
roof. Vertically proportioned windows, softer more natural
materials, shingles, siding, and color.

BRECKNOCK HALL - PECONIC LANDING SCTM #1000-35-1-25
Donald Smith & Alice Hussie were the representatives for
this project.
TABLED: Suggested that the handicap ramp railing plan be
revised using an alternate material other than originally
submitted with a more traditional/classical railing design
rather than modern/contemporary look. Request cuts of
lighting fixtures for the front and rear entry ways;
recommend low height bollard type lighting in parking areas
and walkways for the safety of visitors; screening of any
air conditioning units with evergreen hedges; planting plan
for the wheelchair ramp area. If the decision is made to
put dumpster(s) on the premises in the future by the
applicant, the dumpster(s) should be screened in a similar
style as other screenings on the premises.

BREWER YACHT YARD PAVILION SCTM #1000-43-3-2
Mike Acebo, applicant was present. The applicant requested
the Architectural Review Committee give suggestions on
design ideas for the pavilion.
TABLED: Revised plan showing a more decorative rooftop
design that more resembles a coastal New England style;
include cuts of the light fixtures; wider posts; suggested
flooring of patio pavers in sand with white pea-stone
grouting; natural type of material for exterior curbing to
coordinate with the floor. If the applicant decides in the
future to add garbage receptacles under the pavilion, it
was suggested to use small containers with covers to
discourage excess dumping.

PECONIC RECYCLING & TRANSFER SCTM #1000-95-2-7
Abigail Wickham, applicant was present.
APPROVED: Pending cuts of proposed lighting be submitted;
revised plans showing lighting on all sides of the building
except for the side on the north property line.

Bob Deluca, applicant was present.
APPROVED: The Architectural Review Committee endorses this
project and we would like to see the further development of
it.
MOTION MADE: Ural Talgat; SECOND: Howard Meinke: Ail in
Favor
A general discussion occurred on issues about projects and the
Architectural Review Committee as to why certain project site
plans have not come to the committee for review. A letter is
being drafted and will be circulated to all boards and agencies.
