Vote of the Town Board: Aye: Councilman Edwards, Councilman Ross, Councilman Romanelli, Justice Evans, Supervisor Horton. This resolution was duly ADOPTED. #0-44 Moved by Councilman Romanelli, seconded by Councilman Edwards, WHEREAS Storm Water Run-off threatens the creeks and waterways of Southold Town and; WHEREAS these creeks and waterways are recognized as an invaluable resource to the Town of Southold for a myriad of reasons including but not limited to, marine life habitat, human quality of life, economic and environmental prosperity; Now therefore be it RESOLVED the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby establishes the Southold Town Storm Water Runoff Committee and be it further RESOLVED that the Storm Water Runoff Committee shall work to identify problem areas (e.g., sources of significant storm water input) and recommend remediation efforts to the Town Board and develop a Town-wide Water body Management Plan that will serve to provide direction for restoration efforts and support Town funding requests to outside agencies for related remediation projects and be it further RESOLVED that the Storm Water Runoff Committee shall consist of 7 people of which there shall be a representative from the Highway Department, Conservation Advisory Council, Department of Public Works, Town Trustees, Shell Fish Industry, Marine Science Field and the general public and be it further RESOLVED that members of the Storm Water Run Off Committee shall be appointed to a one-year term to expire annually on December 31st. This resolution was duly ADOPTED. #0-45 Moved by Councilman Edwards, seconded by Justice Evans, it was RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby appoints the following members to the Storm Water Run-off Committee, for a term of one year, term to expire December 31, 2005: Lome Brousseau Donald Wilder Peggy Dickerson James King James McMahon/James Richter for Dept of Public Works Peter Harris SEPTEMBEI~ 22, 1987 29, SUPERVISOR MURPHY: · Number 27 is to appoint a Home Aide. 27.-Moved by, Councilman Stoutenburgh, seconded by Justice Edwards, it was RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby appoints Ann Kudlinski as a Home Aide, effective September 28, 1987, 20~hours per week, at a salary of $4.50 per hour; said~salary to be paid'through the Home Aide Program Budget~ 27.-Vote of the--Town Board: Ayes: Councilman Penny, CouncilWoman Cochran, Council- man Schondebare, Councilman Stoutenburg, Justice Edwards, Supervisor Murphy. This resolution was declared duly ADOPTED. SUPERVISOR MURPHY: And number 28 is-to grant a trailer permit. 28.-Moved by Councilman Stoutenburgh, seconded by Councilwoman Cochran, it was RESOLVED that the application of Northeast Nurseries for a watchman/caretaker trailer permit; for trailer to be located on the south, side of Route 48, west of I~ridge Lane, Cutch0gue, be and hereby is~ for a s~x (6) month period. 28.-Vote of the Town Board: AYes.: Coun~ii~an Penny, Councilwoman Cochran, Council- man Schondebare,. This'resolution was declared duly ADOPTED.~ SUPERVISOR MURPHY: NUmber 29 is ~to create a Tree Committee, whose members are hereby charged with the responsibility for drafting a Tree Ordinance in Southold Town, under which ordinance it shall be the committee's responsibility to s~tudy, investigate, council 'and develop and/or update annually, and administer a written plan for the care, preservation, pruningr planting, replanting, removal-or disposition of tress and shrubs in'parks,~ alOng streets and in other public places. The members of the Tree Committee shall serve-Without compensation. I 0ffer that resolution. ~29.-Moved by Supervisor Murphy, seconded., by Councilwoman Cochran, it was RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby creates a new committee to be known as the "Tree Committ·ee', whose members are hereby charged with the responsibility of draftin9 a Tree Ordinance, under which ordinance it shall be the committee's responsibility to study~ investigate, council 'and develop and/or- update annually, and administer a written plan for the. care, preservation, pruning-, planti,ng, replanting, removal or disposition of trees and shrubs in parks,, along streets and other public'areas; the members of this Tree Committee shall serve with~ compensation; -Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Councilman Penny, Councilwoman Cochranr Council-~ man Schondebare, Councilman Stoutenburg, Justice Edwards, Supervisor Murphy. MURPHY: And Number 30 is 'to appoint members to the Tree Committee.. 30?Moved by CouncilWoman, Cochran, seconded by Sul~rvis0r Murphy, it was RESOLVED th~at the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby .appoints the follow- in.~ individi~als to the Southold Town Tree Committee: Edward D. Dart, Peggy Dow, Alice P. Eckert, Daniel E. Letteriello, Joseph P. Shipman, Chris:Talluto, Bonnie J. Urban; whose term of office shall be effective September 22, 1987· through Sept- ember 22, 1988. 30.-Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Councilman Penny, CouncilWoman Cochran, Council- man Schondebare, Councilman Stoutenburg, Justice~Edwards, Supervisor Murphy. SUPERVISOR M~URPHY: And number 31 is 'to deny two trailer permit applications for Matt-A-Mar Marina. i Offer that resolution. 31.-Moved by Supervisor Murphy, seconded by CouncilWoman Cochran, it was RESOLVED that the application of Matt-A-Mar Marina for two (2) watchman trailer permits, for trailers to be located on the Matt-A-Mar Marina pFoperty, Wickham Avenue, Mattituck, New York, be and hereby are denied. 31.-Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Councilman Penny, Councilwoman Cochran, Council-~ man Schondebare~ Councilman Stoutenburg, Justice Edwards, Supervisor Murphy. This resolution was declared duly ADOPTED. SUPERVISOR MURPHY: Number 32 is to advertise for resumes. 32.-Moved by Justice Edwards, seconded by Councilman Stoutenburgh, it 'was RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby authorizes and directs the Town Clerk to advertise for resumes for the provisional position of 0, rdioance Inspector, at a salary of $23;813.00 per annum. 32.-Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Councilman Penny, Councilwoman Cochran~ Council- man Schondebare, Councilman Stoutenburg, Justice Edwards, SuPervisor Murphy. This resolution was declared duly ADOPTED. SUPERVISOR MURPHY: Number 33 is to request the New York State DOT/to do aspeed survey for the purpose of reducing the speed limit on Route 25, east and west of the East Ct~chogue School. I offer that resolution.
