The house presently has two bedrooms, the proposed addition is for one additional bedroom. 1 have Owned the house for 7 years and in that time there has been no problems with the septic system. In my professional opinion the existing septic system is adequate lbr the proposed addition. Attached are three sets of drawings representing changes that were made including: I. Replacement of first floor deck. During commencement of the construction it was learned that the first floor insulation was wet "like a sponge" and had deteriorated the joists and created a mold- like substance. For both structural and health reasons it is decided to replace the flint floor deck. 2. The exterior walls and sill plate were not satisfactory to comply with the hurricane requirements for this zone, so they are to be replaced. 3. The first few courses of concrete block were not satisfactory for a proper connection to the sill plate to comply with the hurricane requirements. Three coumes of concrete block solid filled with new anchor bolts have been added. 4. The second floor roof taffeta will sit on a knee wall rather than the top plate of the first floor. 5. Gravel has been added along the footing/foundation in the southeast comer of the new Family Room due to some rainwater accumulated. 1 have "bubbled "these changes on the drawings.
