GENERAL NOTES:
THE CONTRACTOR IS TO VERIFY ALL MEASUREMENTS IN THE FIELD AND ANY
DISCREPANCIES ARE TO BE BROUGHT TO THE A3TENTION OF THE ENGINEER
PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION.
1. 1 - ALL CONCRETE 3,500 PSI AFTER 28 DAYS MINIMUM.
2. 2 - ALL RESAR ASTM A~15 GRADE 60.
3. THE FOUNDATION CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH THE PLUMBING
AND ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS RELATIVE TO INSTALLATION OF SLEEVES
AND OTHER PENETRA~ONS PRIOR TO POURING CONCRETE.
CONTROLLED FILL NOTES:
1. DEWATER AND REMOVE DEBRIS PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OF THE BACKFILL.
2. THE EXISTING EARGE TIMBER FLDOR AND WALLS ARE TO REMAIN.
REMOVE ANY ROTTED OR DAMAGED TIMBERS AS NECESSARY TO INSTALL
THE NEW FLOOR
3. RACKFILL THE INTERIOR OF 3HE BARGE WITH CLEAN MATERIAL (SAND AND
GRAVEL) TO THE BOTTOM OF FOOTING ELEVATIONS. THE BACKFILL IS TO
BE MECHANICALLY COMPACTED IN 6 INCH LIFTS. EACH LAYER IS TO BE
COMPACTED TO g8% MODIFIED PROCTOR. A CLEAN FINE'RAINED
MATERIAL WITH AT LEAST 10 TO 30% OF pARTICLES PASSING A NO. 100
SIEVE BUT NOT CONTAINING SILT, OR ORGARIC MATERIAL IS
RECOMMENDED.
4. THE COMPACTED MATERIAL SHOULD BE TESTED PERIODICALLY TO
DETERMINE THAT THE 98% MODIFIED PROCTOR COMPACTION RATE IS
ACHIEVED.
5. RECYCLED CONCRETE AGGREGATE (RCA) OR GRAVEL MAY BE
SUBSTITUTED FOR THE CLEAN SAND AND GRAVEL MATERIAL.
