The dratt, prepared by the Chairperson, was reviewed by both ATA Andaloro and Special Counsel Frank Isler prior to adoption. "If an applicant fails to submit information requested by the Board of Appeals at a public hearing by the date specified at the time of the request, the Board may, upon its own motion, move to extend the deadline or close the hearing and make a determination based upon the record betbre it. All Board decisions will be rendered at a noticed public meeting. The applicant shall be given advance notice by the Office of the Board of Appeals that the Board ~vill be rendering a decision at the specified meeting. At any time, an applicant may request in xvriting up to a thirty (30) day extension of the specified deadline, explaining the reasons. The Board will discuss the applicant's reasons and vote to grant or deny their request, also taking into consideration the complexity of the material requested, the time the application has been before the Board, and any extenuating circumstances the Board deems to be relevant. If thc extension is granted, the Board will not entertain any further requests for an extension. In may case the applicant will be informed of the Board's decision in writing by the Office of the Zoning Board of Appeals." I!1.
