Met with another Cottages resident who will be laid off at Capital One and has issued intent to sell his property in order to relocate to Richmond. · Facilitated Housing Advisory Commission meeting and disseminated minutes. · Meeting with Mark Terry, Jen Andaloro and Leslie Weisman re development of Habitat for Humanity parcel for Suffolk County 72H program. The site will not be further pursued as it is merged with improved lot adjacent to it that is in foreclosure with bank. · Attended Community Land Trust meeting at Peconic Landing. Youth Bureau: · Facilitated joint Youth Bureau Board and Youth Advisory Council "back to school" meeting to discuss goals and objectives for youth under comprehensive plan-Parks and Recreation and Human Services chapters. Loss Control Proqram and Executive Safety Committee: · Meeting with Jen Andaloro re training, vaccinations and employee safety surveys. Community Development: · Meeting with Tanya Palmore (North Fork Housing Alliance) and Jim McMahon re housing expenditures and balance from previous years. · Meeting with Jim to prepare 2012 CDBG budget. Comprehensive Plan: · Team meeting to finalize comments of Community Character chapter. · Facilitated focus group discussion at Recreation Center for Parks and Rec. chapter. · Completed writing of draft of Parks and Recreation chapter. Other: · Reviewed website design proposals (six received.) Met with Lloyd Reisenberg to further develop RFP rating form. With website committee, narrowed RFP selection to four vendors who will be interviewed at a later date. · Assisted with the grand opening of the Peconic Lane Community Center. · With Heather Lanza and Suffolk County representative, interviewed applicant for potential business venture.
