He has verified to me that the entire build was constructed as per the proper building code of that time period. I have included this letter as requested, to accompany the architectural plans 1 had created to represent the details of the deck that was also constructed in 1991. He has asked me to confirm that the Fireplace and chimney that I constructed at that residence back in 1991 was built as per all town codes of that year. I can state officially and for the record that at the time of construction, the chimney and firebox were constructed according to the building code. The fireplace is structurally sound, and continues to convey all products of combustion to the outside air safely as required under code. As it has done without incident for the past twenty years.
