Box 1179 Southold, New York 11971-0959 Telephone (631) 765-1892 Fax (631) 765-6641 The following action was taken by the Southold Town Board of Trustees at their Regular Meeting held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015: WHEREAS, Costello Marine Contracting Corp. on behalf of JOAN PRAGER applied to the Southold Town Trustees for an Amendment to Wetland Permit #7552 and Coastal Erosion Permit #7552C under the provisions of Chapter 275 of the Southold Town Code, the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of Southold, and Chapter 111 of the Southold Town Code, Coastal Erosion Hazard Areas, application dated February 27, 2015, and, WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council and to the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program Coordinator for their findings and recommendations, and, WHEREAS, the LWRP Coordinator issued a recommendation that the application be found to be Consistent with the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program policy standards, and, WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standards set forth in Chapter 275 and Chapter 111 of the Southold Town Code, 2 WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the people of the town, NOW THEREFORE BE IT, RESOLVED, that the Southold Town Board of Trustees APPROVES the.Amendment to Wetland Permit #7552 and Coastal Erosion Permit #7552C to construct an additional +/- 95' of 2 to 4 ton rock revetment extension from end of existing rock revetment east to property line; and as depicted on the site plan prepared by Costello Marine Contracting Corp., last dated February 20, 2015 and stamped approved on April 22, 2015. Fees must be paid, if applicable, and permit issued within six months of the date of this notification. Inspections are required at a fee of $50.00 per inspection., (See attached schedule.) SCTM# 14-2-1.10 , The proposed actions have been reviewed to Chapter 268, Waterfront Consistency Review of the Town of Southold Town Code and`the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy Standards. Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form` submitted to this department, as well as the records available to me, it is my recommendation that the proposed actions are CONSISTENT with the Policy Standards and therefore are CONSISTENT with the LWRP. This recommendation is made with the following assessment: 1. The applicant has demonstrated that the erosion cannot be controlled with vegetation only. Pursuant to Chapter 268, the Board of Trustees shall consider this recommendation in preparing its written determination regarding the consistency'of the proposed action. Permit to construct and complete project will expire two years from the date the permit is signed.
